This weekend and Monday is going to be absurdly good.

DirtVision: 2 WoO shows, Attica and Knoxville weekly shows

Floracing: 4 All Star shows, 2 USAC sprint shows, the big late model race at Eldora plus other random stuff

Yep, I'm going to skip the local tracks and their marathons and watch the All Stars on Friday and Usac on Saturday and Sunday from the comfort of the man cave. Hmmmm wonder what I should grill up?

I got ribs and brisket in the smoker already. Although, Attica probably will not be a marathon. They typically start their race program at 7:45pm almost always and the 410s are usually done around 10pm. That is barring any attrition on the track. Most likely they will be done with the whole program before 11pm

Sounds like some fine chow. I gotta go out to Attica one of these years, seems like plenty of good racing and action there from the videos I've seen.

My Dirtvision PPV from Attica has disappeared (rained out?) and the Outlaws on Dirtvision has stopped more than played and then started all over after heat 2, NOT any better....

Update, Outlaws have started all over again, third time.  But I did get to watch the A-Main which was a non-stop 30 laps that Sheldon gave away wth a couple to go  49 car wins again.  I watched it a smaller format on the Attica feed and then it went down again, arghhhh....Attica is back on NOW, 50 something cars, woo hoo....

Come on now Nellie, through all your years of traveling and taking fuzzy photos you had to see a race that was better or atleast as good as the all star show tonight. Just kidding , that was a fine race tonight, watching midgets at that track is pretty awesome too.

BeezBuddy, I really don't think I have seen an overall race for the lead as good as tonight, 4 cars involved, 3 of whom changed positions virtually every lap for a big part of the race.  I have seen a better dual ( Rick Daugherty & Tim Allison at Millstream ) for the win and a few individual races ( Steve Kinser from 17th in Montana or some other God forsaken place where most of the population is Aliens ) but that whole friggin' race was Magic!  That's more than a thousand LIVE races in 3 Countries and a few hundred on PPV...

In 1982 steve and Sammy passed each other for the lead 13 times at Eldora with the whole crowd on there feet pumping there fist and screaming and it was a regular woo show. What was great is how the crowd quickly  realized they were watching greatness from the two best to ever do it

Hopefully I can visit a few more tracks in Ohio, I've only ever been to Eldora and Millstream. Last race I seen in Ohio was at Eldora in 94 or 95, I have good memories from the ten years I visited that speedway except for the rain outs. Attica just seems like a must see track for me now.  I have PA speedweek but I'm just not into winged racing around here, yeah sometimes there is a good one but its mostly follow the leader type of stuff. People love the speedweek shows and thats fine but I'm just a bit burnt out from the same ole same ole. If I'm traveling six or seven hours heading west I'm probably going to drive another three or four hours to get to Indiana. Indiana midget week is my kind of speedweek these days, but even as a fan speedweeks can be grueling if you don't have a motel every night.

Great thing about Ohio speedweek is each track is different & not just the big half miles. We have a half mile, 3/8,  banked, flat, 1/4,  technical, put it on the cushion. Each track offers different characteristics so makes it to where you don't get same ole thing each night

I can dig it.  Is it true all ohio tracks are slick kinda like in PA, just something I heard? Here in south central PA we just don't have any bullrings that race sprints much if at all. I miss the heavy little bullrings in Indiana and Illinois.

During speedweek they tend to get slick due to the amount of cars on the track. Typically there is 1-2 support classes, and nearly 50 or more sprints. Feature time it usually gets slick but more often than not, there is a top groove & a bottom groove. Waynesfield is the hidden gem of the week most of the time.

It's true about PA.  I love Port Royal and it will always be my track, but also really love the little bull rings like Path Valley.  I wish they would update the place a bit more so the 410's could go back.  Those shows are always entertaining.  And an added bonus for me, I only live a few minutes from the track.

I love Path Valley, beautiful area too.

I usually go to Cowan's Gap reservoir for a swim before the races. How about the year they had Speedweek there & Fast Freddy provided free hamburgers & a live band? Smile

That was a fun year.  He had the festivities right by the track at Hammond's Grove.  And Cowan's Gap is a great place to visit, so beautiful up there.  I really wish they could get it together and have some more great 410 races there. Worst part about the area is the cell phone service, it's basically circa 1950 lol.
