The argument that the governor wants to shut down the state under some "power grab" , stay awake at night, and get a bunch of flack for it,  is just simply rediculous! 

Sadly, a virus that has killed 100,000 Americans has become just as political as it is deadly. And those who are doing what they can - even if they really don't want to - to try to save lives are getting all the grief. They are trying to save lives - that's it, simple as that. They are not power hungry communists. They don't want to sabatoge their state. They just want to save lives.

Ok and Just how many lives did they save?  Please tell me this, because as far as that goes .026 people have died from this Virus.  In fact all these so called lives they saved, but yet forgot about the elderly in Nursing Homes.  42 percent of the deaths came directly from Nursing homes in which the so called LIFE SAVERS allowed to get infected because there was No 0 Restriction on Nursing Homes taking in Covid patients.  So who' life did they actually save.

It has been known since day 1 that people over 60 years old are at the greatest risk.  They forced the sick into the Nursing homes and KILLED the elderly.  That is your so called life savers.  To top it all off they tried to blame it on Trump.  So again I ask who's life did they save????????  

The only thing this shutdown has done is make people Not work, Not go to the Doctors for Screenings, and Kill the Best Economy this world has ever seen.  Yae that is a great thing LOL.  Please stop with the saving lives.  They even upped the death totals another fact, because they included all deaths from the day it started.  I know of 3 people that died and did not die of Corona but their death certificate says otherwise.  When questioned about the death certificate the Doctor said he was told to do that and it can not be changed.  Even though they died from something else.  YES it a lie, because then the State Govt can get more money from the Federal Govt for the deaths.  This entire debacle is a joke and the States are playing on the peoples fears (Plain and Simple)  I for one am not a sheep, I am old enough to make my own decisions and I have that right if I choose to take it, to weigh out the risk to go to a race if I want to

Only a dope on dope couldn't see whats been goinng on in our country.  There are actually people, congressman and governors, who would rather see this virus go on for months and months, at least thru November.  Wreck the country yes, the hell with the country, its they who they think matters, not people trying to make a living in their business, and their objective is hurt the hell out of this country for as long as possible.  Its in their interest.   My church is limited to 200 (it seats 1500) and people have to be 6 to 10 feet apart.  Yet I go to Target yesterday and 500+ people shoulder to shoulder shopping.  1 our of 5 had those had bank robber masks on.  There needs to be an ever bigger investigation, much much bigger, into the conspiracy that has kept this Covid-19 going and going and going.  

Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL -  NYC, Detroit, Chicago,

It always suprises me that when these political threads pop up that there are actually liberal sprint car fans on hoseheads... honestly I would have never guessed it... no offense meant to anyone it just doesnt seem like the demographic fits???

Thank you and I agree 100%  I just dnt understand how the American People just blindly allow the Govt to take their rights away and order them around like a Heard Of Sheep.  Where in the Constitution does it say I will order you to stay hpme and not work, you will wear this mask even though it is useless to prevent the virus and if you dont you will be fined and or jailed or both.

A family member of my wife's who underwent a heart transplant a couple of years ago was directed by his physician to get a covid test in Lancaster simply as a precaution. He had no symptoms and felt fine other than the rejection issues he was having. He tested positive. They did not test his wife and son but they told them that they were also counted as having it as well and low and behold, the statistics for new cases in my area jumped by 3 the next day. There is definitely a virus but there's also a lot of shady shit going on around it. Politicians, some corporations, big pharma etc. are all trying to use this to their own crooked benefit while we the people are the one's who are suffering from loss of employment, mental health issues and uncertainty because you can't believe a damn thing you hear about this anymore. I'm done with it all. I went to Lincoln last week and I'm going again this week and I'm hitting every show I can for the rest of the season. I take immune supplements daily and my immune system is really good so I'll just rely on that and some good old fashioned common sense. If I get it, I get it. Me and my wife are in good health and our chances for recovery are about 97 to 99.5% depending on who you listen to. I'm done being scared and I'm done marching to the beat of these asshole politicians who thought nothing of turning nursing homes into morgues. Anyone who had anything to do with that decision should be put behind bars for a LONG time. And before anyone comes at me with their political party talking points, save it because I hate them both. They're all crooked pieces of shit in my book. Mr. Heffner is doing EXACTLY the right thing. You can't play nice with these people. Our local board of township supervisors is constantly being harassed by the state and they basically tell them to go fornicate with themselves. They've saved our rural little township a lot of money in taxes every year by not implementing all the useless bullshit that the state wants them to. That seems to be how Mike is handling it and I for one applaud him for it.

I didnt get a Stimulus check, and YES i would have returned it if i did.  I happen to work for a living and Never took a handout in my life.  I guess you tried to insult me but it didnt work.

I've lived both lives. I grew up an authentic redneck from just south of Punxsy. Spent countless nights at Marion Center Speedway and the occasional one at Lernerville or Bedford. Once you've been exposed to different perspectives there's no going back. I will always love racing on dirt tracks, but it doesn't mean I have to have a total lack of empathy like the MAGA crowd. To me they're embarrassing. Rasist attitudes are alive and well in our country. Our current president is doing his best to let them feel like they have permission to express their true feelings. 

Lets be clear. Reagan and both Bushs were good honorable men. They might have had differing opinions on how to make things better, but they honestly cared about people. Trump is just an embarrassment along with anyone that would blindly support him. I remember being taught about the difference between black folk and niggers. When your eight years old you don't know any better. Now I do. I'm super confident that people with those same beliefs are at the track. They just haven't learned anything different than what they were force fed when they were kids. Over time maybe it will change? I can only hope. Empathy. If you don't get it or don't have it, well, okay. I'm not changing your opinion here. 

And for the record, I think Sweden got this whole pandemic thing right.

Also, Sweden got it wrong and they're now finding out. For half of the past two weeks, they've had the highest death rate per capita in the world. Additionally, Sweden has four times as many deaths as Denmark, Finland and Norway combined despite having 10m citizens compared to 16.6m combined citizens for the other three. The reason those three are significant is that they have very similar makeup in culture/healthcare to Sweden. So yeah, 400% the death rate with with 61% the population. 

How did racism get brought into this.  That comment in itself is racist because this topic has nothing to do with it.  So only liberals should be allowed to express their opinion and not trump supporters.  Maybe you should thank trump for making people feel it's okay to gave an opinion even if you dont agree.  That is most of what he is trying to do, give our freedoms back that have been slowly widdled away by liberal idiots like wolf.  I am absolutely not promoting racism and neither is trump but you and many others certainly try to twist it that way.

I am tired of writing this political stuff. I want my sprint car racing back. Sweden made a conscious choice to absorb more death now and not put it off until later. They fully knew that would happen initially. There are articles addressing "herd imunity", but that came from journalists. Nobody in the Swedish government ever made the claim that herd imunity was a goal. What will happen in the long term? We'll see. Again, I think they got it right.

The spread of the virus all over is (in my opinion) a certainty. I think we're only delaying the inevitable. The idea that it will be wiped out and gone for good is a bit silly. We still have MERs. We still have bubonic plague. I understood the intial response to educate and not have our hospitals over-run, but we're well past that stage now. We've learned some things that we didn't know in February. Who is most at risk and what we can do to protect them? Locking down all of society still seems silly. 

I'm guessing the "you" here is directed at me. Some one specifically asked about liberals at the track. I am largely left leaning so I spoke up. 

If you can't see the division in race relations in our politics, okay. You can choose to ignore that. I choose not to ignore that and think it's still a major problem in our nation. I see our president having zero empathy for the conditions a black man experiences in our nation. Would you choose to live under the same conditions as a black man in our country? Of course this assumes you're a white boy redneck** like me. I would not choose to live under those conditions.
