Duel in the Desert, Anderson, Covert, Knight, Meyers and Myer Headline Dirt Nation™ Live
Hampton, VA --- The Dirt Nation™ Live presented by Lucas Oil radio show on Monday evening November 12th will present a plethora of special guests from the world of dirt track racing across the country. Dirt Nation™ Live presented by Lucas Oil airs from 8:00 - 10:00 PM EST on WLRT 1490 THE OUTLAW and can be accessed over the internet at: www.racetalklive.com and www.dirtnation.net, and is hosted by Dave Seay.
Dirt Nation™ Live will spotlight the upcoming Duel in the Desert to be held at the Dirt Track @ Las Vegas Speedway November 15 – 17, 2007. The event will include IMCA Modified action as well as late Models. Many of the countries top drivers will be in attendance. Joining the show to talk about the event will be track announcer Toby Kruse.
Dirt Nation™ Live will also spotlight Nebraska dirt late model star John Anderson of Omaha, NE. Anderson competed on the MLRA, NCRA, SUPR, WDRL and select special events during the 2007 season. Anderson finished 2nd in NCRA points. Anderson also picked up the Latemodelracer.com Gary Jacob Memorial Central Rankings Championship over superstars Billy Moyer and Shannon Babb. Covert ran a mixed bag of sanctioned events while successfully defending his MACS title to make it two in a row for the Pennsylvania driver. Covert is considered to be one of the east coasts premier drivers and ranks 32nd in the Latemodel.com National Driver Points. Also making a return visit to Dirt Nation™ Live will be World of Outlaws Sprint car competitor Jason Meyers of Clovis, CA. Meyers finished off the 2007 World of Outlaws season with a dramatic win on night one of the World Finals and a 5th place finish in the 2007 final point standings. Meyers picked up five wins on the World of Outlaws Tour. Myer finished 5th in the USMTS National Championship and ranks second in all-time wins on the USMTS tour.
