My memory is shot... was scoreboard always in the infield? looks like it could block some views of backstretch....

Hasn't it been behind Turn 2 where cars enter from pits?

It's a video board in the infield. Live feed from whichever service is broadcasting the race. That was installed earlier this year. I can't imagine it not blocking some views from the main stands but I don't sit there. The plus side is there the smaller board behind it that faces turns 3/4 for people in the infield.
There is a scoring pylon, think Indy, that is located in the pits in turn 2 and has been there for years now.
Good on them for making the track a bit safer!

There has been a score board outside of turns 3 and 4 for a long time. The newer 10 position score board has been outside of turn 2 for several years now probably around the time the previous owners moved the pits to the outside of the back stretch. Now the new owners put up a jumbotron to block what was a completely unobstructed view, I just hope they can make the flagstand larger now.

Looks like you might need to be up high in the stands to see over Jumbotron, but those seats are usually reserved....

And it looks like the infield just got a little smaller with that tractor pull set up.

There is no seeing over the mighty jumbotron unless you are in the palace. now I get to have tractor pulls with jumbotron vision. What more could a sprint car fan wish for...

It does block some of the view but once they get racing, it really doesn't bother me. When I first saw it I thought it would but it's a great addition and in my opinion, overall it enhances the experience.

Seems like a lot of the passing at Lincoln is on the backstretch, coming out of turn 2...
Next time i go there, I'll have a better idea....

I think the jumbotron sucks, why didn't they put it where the old scoreboard is, outside of the speedway.Even when the haulers were in the infield I could see all of the backstretch from my seat.
