I have been pondering this for a while so I thought I would toss it out there. Maybe Johnny Gibson can answer this question? As I have been watching all year on dirtvision, every time Macedo is introduced, Johnny says "this years leading contender for Rookie of the year, Carson Macedo". My question is, who are the other contenders? Or better yet, why even mention it with no others competing for the title?

My guess is technically he's not the "rookie of the year" until he finishes out the entire season
