Race fans still use a message board? MSPN still exists? Where's the canadian fan club?
Love seeing the LD footage during the #JokedWild...Sammy should stay in TN next week.

You know it's funny, every once in a while I'll see someone on those new fangled social media sites like twitter or book-face will be complaining about this place sying "how is HH's still around"? Well they obviously come over here and lurk like creepers.

Only as a shadow of the former anymore Smitty. My good luck ran out a few years ago, now it's just getting old uncomfortably. If you don't have health you ain't got anything, truer words never spoken. Your Posse, with the 48, 51 and 69 representin' just might have a decent Nationals, they are all fast enough. I have Speed Shift so I have seen a ton of racing this year from Lincoln and Port, some decent kids coming up after all, just wish they could get some of the support that was out there in your area years ago, they would have a much better chance of developing like the previous big dogs.
Catch you, BRR, Jason and Mr. Quirk at a race in the next lifetime, Take It Easy.....

I still check in every day, sometimes several times a day. Certainly a shell of what it used to be though. I just cant get into tweeting. I dont understand the cryptic language it seems you need to know in order to use it... Check in at the DV chat room when youre in there MSPN.

Jknoxville, I always was curious about the handle when you live in Chico, must be a reference to the MTV guy, huh? It's the friends that keep me coming back also, a few goofballs thrown in for good measure doesn't hurt, lol. Do you still throw that big lunch during the Gold Cup, man that was a great time and really appreciated by everyone. Still fixing cars, business any good? You would have a field day up here in London, ON. CAN we have the worst drivers in the country and maybe North America, you'd have 3 or 4 shops, lol.....

I've been tempted with Twitter - going by the feed on Page 1 - but I resist. This is all I need.
I don't need another reason to sit in front of a computer more than I do already.
I too am glad this one is still around. The Grove board and others are just about dead.

I can answer part of this for JP :-). I'm sure you all had a great time at those gatherings but unfortunately I never got to go to one. The one I would have made it too in 2009 got canceled before it happened. I did get to go to 2 of the other nights they had at the shop before he stopped doing those and they were fun but not having a big event like the Gold Cup tied to it I'm sure they weren't as fun as the ones you are thinking of. The shop is still there and doing well from what I can see. As far as drivers go: People in California can barely keep it on the road or off of eachother when it's dry let alone when it rains so I'm sure we could compete with you guys. It actually snowed here last year if you can believe that. It wasn't much but I was extremely happy to get to work early in the morning alive and off the road the rest of the day! The only way to get to work from home is the back roads and there was nobody on them at 6:00 in the morning.

Mr. Perry was a character who Shawn loved and I am sure the feeling was mutual. Down to earth, does what he wants and when, he was all California in my world. Chris you had your run at fun and chaos back in the day as well, there was a pretty good group of us that worked early on at SprintCar for Wayne, gotta love the 90's, right?......

i took the name from the benefit (knoxvillebound) just put the john in there! have`nt done the racers bbq for years, but got involved with helping the placerville gang at goldcup with the rib feed, those guys do one hell of a job, the shop is doing great, business has been good! with the recent campfire, chico has grow by 20,000 or so? thats alot of extra cars on our roads, that we don`t have room for, and, only so many shops, so jp`s is a busy joint, so, in your immortal words! take it easy, and take care!

Super Chuck says who are all these people? He thought everyone just came here to throw out insults and piss each other off?
Still check in occasionally, so it's good to hear from you old timer.

I miss Duane..
For those who dont remember this, The trophy Tmac won had 3 tiers, a sprint car at the bottom, a Boxer in the middle and a Horses Ass on top. Nothing short of fantastic..

Rollie, wonderful photos of the real 'good ol days' in my world. I also miss Duane, he called me a lot back in my travellin' days, often thinking of things to add to the Hosers get together, who should be our nominee for Hoser of the ear etc. etc. Standing there with Allan Holland, McCarl, Duane, Shawny Boy and jknoxville aka John Perry, 5 of the best people I ever met in the sport, almost brings a tear, certainly a lump in my throat. Miss Kimmy, now Mrs. MSPN was a nice surprise also, we need you Joyce and Donnie as well as the Affdahl's and we'd have a lot of the old Knoxville clan covered.
scf or John, that ended up being the best joke/riddle ever posted in here, what a reaction Duane got, lol. Kim's party buddy went to a few more Nationals and then unfortunately passed away....

I recall some taunting over fuzzy photos but I'm not going to be a trouble maker and bring that up... Or maybe I will just to keep things interesting. By way of disclaimer all I ever saw were excellent shots.
