Sounds like a 1st world problem. If this is a real problem, then I would say things are going well.

Cause chronologically it is scheduled within the month of money and it is inconvenient to put an asterix beside it and add a footnote.

Eh probably doesn’t matter. The amount of rain they’re gonna get overnight into tomorrow there’s not much of a chance they’d be able to run tomorrow either.

I read that in Eeyore's voice. Another Eeyore quote:" The nicest thing about the rain is that it always stops-eventually."

I wish he'd tell the Outlaws to pound sand after this screw job. Make the Doty an All Star-sanctioned race. It has been proven that you don't need to have the Outlaws to have a great event. An All Star sanction would be just as good of a show. Screw the Outlaws.

Worked out swell for Mansfield....

Sorry to disagree with you on this but, I'm not going to to blame the Outlaws on this or say that they purposely screwed Brad. It has been said and confirmed that there was no official rain date. Yes, in years past they had a day between BDC & Eldora as a buffer just in case for this. But given the amount of rainouts that happened at the beginning of the year for all bodies, Outlaws & USAC, I'm sure they were looking for any way to reschedule best they could. 7/17 just happened to be the day it could be done & I think the thought pattern was more of we could have 5 straight days of awesome racing. Not, let's screw Brad because like it or not, everything in the industry has respect for Brad.
Yes an All Star show would be a good show but I'm still supporting everyone. This is one of the best weeks of racing and has been for years. There is no reason to ruin it over this 1 odd year. Had this happen before then there would be more too it. Plus with the weather pattern tonight & tomorrow there is a good chance that they still wouldn't have been able to get the race in. I hope Brad continues to hold this event on the same week as he has had for over a decade with Outlaws sanction.

I guess it ended up being confirmed no rain date based on what happened but Attica clearly seemed to think there was one at one point earlier this year - https://atticaracewaypark.com/attica-to-hand-out-over-600000-in-2019-features/
"The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will head to Attica for the 31st Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic presented by Racing Optics on Tuesday, July 16 (rain date of July 17)."
There were also rain dates in 2018 (https://atticaracewaypark.com/smart-move-ohio-logistics-brad-doty-classic-continue-partnership/), 2017 (https://atticaracewaypark.com/ohio-logistics-brad-doty-classic-continue-partnership/), and 2016 (https://atticaracewaypark.com/reserved-seats-sale-brad-doty-classic-attica/).
So let's recap - BDC runs at Limaland until 2015 on Wednesday nights. Moves back to Attica in 2016 and moves to Tuesday. which I'm guessing is probably because that was the first year of the Joker's Wild at Eldora? First three years they scheduled on the Tuesday with indications of a Wednesday rain date. This year, they scheduled again on Tuesday, with an early indication of a rain date, and then that changed at some point.
It could be as simple as WoO pointing out that there was no contractual obligation for a rain date. And of course, WoO is well within its rights to do what it did. That still doesn't make it right in my book, and if that respect does exist, they really seemed to forget it the night they rescheduled because Brad seemed just as shocked as others on Twitter.
The whole thing sucks. BDC is a great event - of course it's not a bigger purse, but it's got a great history and is usually fantastic racing with a huge car count. As a fan, I don't want that jeoparized, but I wouldn't blame Brad one bit if he told WoO to GF itself next year and did something different.

At this point, given Eldora is going to pay $175k to win and probably wants a 4th night, maybe they can turn this week into the 9 days of Eldora kind of like the 10 days of Knoxville.
Maybe you could do a Fri-Sun show with All Stars and USAC (honestly why not just move the 4 Crown to this weekend?), make the Doty a 2 day show with Outlaws on Monday and something else on Tuesday (with this being a rain date for Monday) and then 4 days at Eldora.
With as many people camping there this week there’s a built in crowd and would encourage more people to make it a weeklong destination.

The KR needs to be a 2 day show like God & Earl Baltes intended. This 3 & 4 day stuff is nonsense. The camping 'race fans' can funnel beers, throw beads around and cornhole each other out in the fields to their little hearts content to kill time.

And to hell with this nonsense paying 175,000 to win, get that thing back to 50k to win as intended 35 years ago.

Doty Classic now rescheduled to 30 & 31 August with an All Star sanction at Attica. 10k to win on the 31st.

How much $ did Tony pay for the rain date that should have been?

I dont understand if you are serious or not.
But in reality, wouldn't the track pay a sanction fee for the race date?
And forgive me for asking but, do they actually have to pay extra to ensure the ascoc will stay the night if it rains out but the next day is good?
Just seems like good business to stay and give it another shot if the time works out.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!
