My hypothesis for your third paragraph questions goes something like this:
The majority of people living on this blue marble lead lives that garner them no real satisfaction and/or joy to speak of. This leads to people distracting themselves by following a local ball team, or some sort of recreational activity which in this case is sprint car racing. When said local club or sprint car team enjoys a modicum of success, these same people glom onto that success because it provides them an uplifitng moment or two in their otherwise meaningless lives.
Then, when someone from the next town or next state tries to remove that uplifitng moment via a derogatory tweet, or some other social media posting it leads to the almighty pissing contest of which we have become so accustomed to.
This moment of nihilism has been brought to you by Life. Life: Quite a shitty cereal, quite a board game, but mostly, quite a interesting ride.

Not to mention Dewease already finished ahead of Brown last Saturday.
|
Of course no need to mention the Friday night results of Brown and Dewease LMAO . I'm glad the 69k team made a trip to Knoxville! I hope they come back for the Nationals. And why wouldn't they? I was impressed with their performance given the lack of time on the track. The 6th place finish was damn good and that pays $20,000.00 the night of the Nationals. And they are capable of top ten imo no problem if things go right. And EVERYBODY needs things to go right the week of Nationals.

Let's not forget that Brian Brown actually passed Schatz on lap 44 and actually led a couple of laps before Schatz got back around him. I believe that was 2014.
|
Brian blew it that year all by himself. First, he passed Schatz a couple laps too early up top in one and two while Donny was running low to middle and that showed Donny the fast way around on that end of the track with enough laps remaining to to get back by. Then....Brown switches his line like he thinks he can block Schatz and Schatz instead goes up high where Brown HAD been running and gets back to the lead passing Brown on the outside. I never ubderstood why Brown did that. He's made that bone-head move before. Leaving his proven line for another line and getting passed.

Also, not trying to bash Lance because he’s awesome and the team is great. But the fact remains he didn’t pass a car all night.
He was 4th in flight B which was by far the lesser of the 2 flights. Still impressive but I doubt he would have been 4th in flight A.
Started 2nd in heat and finished there, Drew the pole for the dash and won that. Started 1st in the A and ran 6th.

Famer or farmer, they are all the same on the great equalizing Knoxvile Raceway.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!
