Has anyone ever gone to the Kings Royal and sat in general admission seating(the grass hillside)?  Are the sightlines favorable for those with small kids? Debating on whether or not to splurge on reserved seating.

Thanks in advance!

I've been to Eldora once, had a reserved seat

After walking around a while, I decided grass hillside was probably better. You can have your own chair, drink holder, more personal space, views are fine

If you have small children then the hill might be best since the reserved grandstands are usually packed and not really good for smaller children who like to move around. Should be able to see everything pretty well for the most part

One bit to know, being on the hillside will obstruct a bit of the corners (depending on how high up the hill you are).  Definitely more room to breathe tho.  The bleachers in turn 1 might be decent also.  Those are up higher & i think there is a non alcohol section down that way so it would be "tamer" if you have kids with you.

Turn one on the hill is one of the few views in all the tracks I've been to that truly gives you a feel for the incredible speed.  You'll see what I mean if you sit there, or if you don't, just walk over there for a heat race or somethings.  It's pretty cool.  You will however be covered in dirt by the end of the night.  Depending on how high up you sit of course.  Either way, have fun!  I've been there twice but nothing recent.  Can't wait to get back someday.

ABSOLUTELY REMEMBER THE GOGGLES.... I sat in the grass (actually on the lower walk way) going into turn #1 for a few years,

Awesome seats.
