Well, early in the season, yes. Everyone knows Ricky Warner is back in Pennsylvania dealing with medical issues. The 15 car finally has the ford powerplant between the rails. I think the team is going to struggle this year. To much to take on and the best crew chief out there not on hand.

First of all, Ricky is working every day at the TSR shop or with the Ford people doing the research and development on the new Ford engine. They have yet to race the Ford. They have tested it though. You may want to check your source of information. Donny and team will be fine. They have only run 3 WoO shows. R-E-L-A-X.

427....like Stroker said, ya better check your info. As well, I would wager, by looking at start vs finish at each race thus far that he is only car that has significantly gone forward each night. Mid season when it’s hot and slick Schatz shines while others spin their wheels. I’m guessing you are just spinning it to get your hopes up.

Exactly. Schatz has passed a ton of cars so far this season. He rarely qualifies well but always passes cars. Other than the fact that he hasn't won yet, I just see Donny being Donny.

Well, thanks for the info about the ford not between the rails. I just think as the weather gets hotter and tracks get dry your not going to see the 15 come thru the pack like he has done year after year. In my opinion Ricky Warner is without question the best crew chief out there on tour and I also believe the team will struggle without him being there. I think you'll see him back for the month of money if at all possible.

They won't suffer without Ricky Warner. If he had left TSR completely and was doing something else then maybe, but he's still an active member of TSR. He's just a phone call away, and I'd bet they won't need to call him that often either.

It seems like we get a variation of this post every year early in the season....last year it was after Sheldon dominated the Dirtcar nats, that Donny is going to be off this season, but then the end of the year comes, he's won or finished second in every big money show, has won 20+ WoO races and the championship.
I guess someday the post that says he's going to have an off year will be true (maybe when he's in his late 50's) but if it's wrong a decade in a row and then it's finally correct is that something to really be proud of. I am not a big Donny fan, and I cheer for others to beat him, but that's because I'm an old school race fan who always roots for the underdogs. That being said, Donny has proven time and time again that he is the best at reading and adjusting to changing track conditions, he gets through traffic better than anyone I've ever seen, and seems to almost always make the right decision when it comes to putting his car in the right place on the track (he never seems to panic). The fact that there are so many other well funded teams out there trying to take him down and he just consistently says "nope" tells me that we are watching a special talent have a special run and at some point it will be over and we will miss it.

I recall reading that Warner said he has to see Donny's 1st corner in hot laps to know how to adjust the car. Otherwise Donny would adjust his driving and Warner wouldn't know what to change or if to change anything. So he can probably drive whatever his new chief gives him.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

He usually dominates Florida but struggled in qualifying this year. Pittman seems to have a lot of speed this year so hopefully that continues and we can have a real battle for the championship this year.

Schatz is 4/4 on top 5’s this year, I’d imagine most drivers would love to ‘struggle’ to that
