as if last nights successes were not enough......... to prove it wasn't just beginners luck Joe Wood Jr. makes the Short Track Nationals Final A Main tonight. For those who are into sprint car racing a lot you know how big that is - for others - Joe finished the feature 17th - that means he was pretty much 17th out of over 100 drivers. And these were the cream of the crop - the best (literally) of the 360's and about a half dozen WoO regulars. Go to www.ascsracing.com and just take a look at the cars Joe Jr. finished ahead of..........amazing. Joe outran track and series champions from all over the nation (again literally) including champions of Canada. All this accomplished in his very first visit to I-30 Speedway - first time he's even been here to see it. So come next year - look for him as he will be one to watch.
Congrats to Joe Wood Jr. and his race team on a hell of a weekend here in Arkansas. What other okc area drivers have made the a main at the STN?
oh, by the way - WoO driver Jason Meyers passed race long leader Shane Stewart on the final lap to win the 20k. cold night - awesome show. left track @ 230am.

I too was pumped following their qualifying night and then was even more excited Saturday night when the pit announcer started calling off the car numbers that made it. When he said car 03 you made the A I was like hell yeah!!!
For a team that said at Dallas they weren't going to Little Rock, it looks like the move paid off.
Great job guys!!

Well David stopped by the shop yesterday. He had a new hat on I think. Must've stretched the old one out. LOL Seriously though, I'm proud as hell of you guys. He's a happy dude and he aint doing bad stuff. Thanks you guys. Your friendship to him means alot.
Going to Houston? Good luck if so.
