Is there a reason why the trophy cup isn't untill the middle of Nov? It used to be run like the second weekend in Oct. Just seems like the weather is more of a factor that late, and some teams may have shut it down for the winter to prep for next year... just wondering?

Well the main reason is obviously to attract some of the WOO drivers. If I remember correctly the dates this year were actually supposed to be November 9-10, but the fairgrounds had a scheduling conflict. We should just think positive about the weather.

October 19/20....one weekend after outlaws
October 26/27...track did not want to run 2 major events in same month
November 2/3...Oval Nationals
November 9/10...conflict with some fairgrounds event
November 16/17...for 2007, this weekend or never...no rain date

just wondering, i remember it being in october.... but thats when it was in san jose....give's us something to do untill feb i guess so i am not complaining!!
