Josh Schneiderman – Ready to Roll Into Big Weekend Ahead!

Des Moines, IA (May 23, 2018) – The Deuce Motorsports #49 and driver Josh Schneiderman continued their string of solid finishes Saturday night at the Knoxville Raceway with a 7th place run. Josh and the team feel like they’re heading in the right direction and have a busy Memorial Day weekend of racing coming up to keep the momentum going.

“The Professor” had to go out late in qualifying on Saturday night at Knoxville and knows that it’s starting to sound a bit like a broken record. “We were one of the last cars to qualify on Saturday and continued our struggles to time well,” said Josh. “The track blew off really fast through hot laps and qualifying, and we did what we could, but it still left us mid-pack.”

One area where the World of Wheels #49 continues to dominate is in their heat races. “We won another heat on Saturday night and gapped them by quite a bit,” said Josh. “That feels good, but it’s a bit bittersweet, since we keep winning them from the front due to our struggles in qualifying. You have to make the best of it though and if you start up front, you might as well win.”

Schneiderman lined up on the outside of the fourth row for the night’s main event feeling like he had a top five car, but blamed the driver for not taking advantage of a good racecar. “We were better than we showed in the feature,” said Josh. “The track was really interesting Saturday, the moisture in the track seemed to come back for the feature and it was quite a bit different than we’re used to seeing. We should have finished the night in the top five, but I made some errors that set us back and we ended up settling for 7th.”

While Josh didn’t end the night with the finish they were hoping for, there were a lot of positives to take into the busy weekend ahead. “We’ve been doing some engine tuning and I really feel like we got some things figured out and that we’re heading in the right direction,” said Josh.

Josh and the Deuce Motorsports team are ready to roll into a jampacked Memorial Day weekend! Friday night, “The Professor” will be dropping in his 360 motor to run with the Sprint Invaders at Lee County Speedway, before putting the 410 back in for Saturday night at Knoxville. The work won’t be over for the Deuce crew, as they will be back racing with the Sprint Invaders on Sunday, but luckily the commute will be short, as they’ll be racing at 34 Raceway.

If all goes well this weekend, Josh is looking at making his first visit to the Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Illinois to run with the World of Outlaws! “We’re planning right now on heading to Fairbury to run with the Outlaws next Wednesday, May 30th,” said Schneiderman. “I’m a day-by-day kind of guy; if the weekend goes well, we’ll head to Fairbury. If not, we’ll be ready to go for the next Saturday at Knoxville.”

Be sure to stop by the Deuce Motorsports hauler after the races this busy Memorial Day weekend to grab the new 2018 shirts and sweatshirts!
