Josh Schneiderman – Building Momentum and New Apparel

Des Moines, IA (May 9, 2018) – The Deuce Motorsports #49 team and driver Josh Schneiderman didn’t start last Saturday night the way they wanted at the Knoxville Raceway, but were able to make improvements throughout the night and end up with a solid top ten. Josh and the team will look to carry that momentum through the next couple of weeks at Knoxville, before a big Memorial Day weekend!

Saturday night at Knoxville opened with the World of Wheels #49 machine lacking some speed, as Josh took the car onto the track for qualifying. “We’ve really been struggling to find speed and get the setup right in qualifying so far this season,” said Josh. “It’s been something we’ve been focusing a lot on improving over the past few seasons, but we just haven’t quite hit on it yet. One of these days we’ll get it down!”

While Josh struggled in qualifying, the team had the car hooked up when it came time to take the green flag in his heat race. “I started on the outside of the front row and the car just felt badass from the moment we took the green,” said Josh. “It was like night and day from qualifying to the heat and, luckily, the car was just as good during the A-main.”

Due to the qualifying struggles, Josh was stuck rolling off 14th in the feature, but was able to make a great run through the field to secure a seventh-place finish. “We started pretty deep in the A, but were able to pick guys off throughout the race,” said Josh. “I really felt like we had the car to get up into the top five, but a late caution with four laps to go kind of allowed everyone to catch their breath and we stayed put in 7th.”

Though it still isn’t quite where Josh and the Deuce Motorsports team want to be, Saturday night will help build some positive momentum after a couple of rough outings to start the Knoxville season. “Our heat and the feature on Saturday night were definitely a step in the right direction for us; if can get better at the beginning of the night for qualifying, the rest of the season will be pretty fun,” said Josh.

Josh had been hoping to make his way down to Lake Ozark Speedway to run with the World of Outlaws last Friday, but the real world had its own plans. “It would have been fun to race with the Outlaws, but a busy work schedule kept me from being able to make it down there,” said Josh. “We’re just focused on continuing to improve the car for Knoxville and getting better every week.”

It will be a quiet couple of weeks for the Deuce Motorsports team, as Knoxville Raceway is the only track on their schedule, but things will heat up for Memorial Day weekend, as Josh will be hitting three shows in the same number of nights. Josh will be at Knoxville on Saturday, May 26th, but drop in the 360 motor for Sprint Invaders events on Friday, May 25th at Lee County Speedway and Sunday, May 27th at 34 Raceway.

Fans of “The Professor” should also be sure to stop by his hauler after the races at his next event, as Josh has new shirt designs available. T-shirts are priced at $20, while the sweatshirts are $40.
