What happened to Dale and the 21 car? Cap was back in it for the SCWC at mansfield

I saw Dale at the SCWC and his hand/arm were all bandaged up - heard he hurt it at work. I imagine he wont be in the 21 until he's healed up.

I read that he had surgery on his thumb a couple of weeks ago from that injury. Out until June, I believe.
