Found on the 4M late model forum:
Once again Ford power takes Josh Richards from good to great. Can’t wait to order my back to back double national titles DRE Ford shirts. It’s an absolute crying ugly shame that so called Outlaw sprint car racing is afraid of the good stuff. Andy has now proven without a shadow of doubt that a small block chevy is an inferior piece if the rule book doesn’t favor or like WoO sprint car racing all but demand an sbc!!!
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I was just thinking to myself about mindless and what he was doing with all of his spare time without trolling hoseheads about canted valves, or 1960's technology being superior to todays chevys. I now see he has taken to trolling 4m about fords, looks like most of those guys think he is a complete idiot like we did. Well, at least he's someone elses problem!

His delivery leaves a bit to be desired, but hes not totally wrong. That Dargie SBC he had to start the season was not doing him any favors. He switched mid season to a Durham Ford and instantly became typical Josh Richards. Much faster won a ton of races, and would have won more big races if not for tire problems at the Topless 100, and at the Knoxville LM Nats. It would be nice to see the same level of competition between the different makes in Sprint racing too.

I just thought it was funny. I knew who it was before I looked at the posting name.
I'm a Ford guy myself. I think battles between the manufacturers would add some interest or at least guve the die hard fans more to argue about. Its not likely in sprint car racing as the engines used don't resemble anything the manufacturers are using.

I also think having different brands of engine could make things a little more interesting, I just don't understand the people like Minthess that have an obsession with it. There were NASCAR fans that got pissed off at Mark Martin because he left Roush Racing to go and drive for a Chevy team. I wouldn't doubt it if Minthess wasn't one of those people.
Overall though, it seems to me that guys like Minthess would realize there is a good reason why you'll find very few Fords in any kind of short track racing. We had a guy out at Devils Bowl that kept trying to run one in a limited modified. Let's just say it didn't go well for him and leave it at that.
