What gives you better racing and why?
Flat to semi-banked
Semi-banked to decent banking
High banks
I have been to many track and love the speed of the high banked tracks but I am not sure they always have the best races. It seems like semi-banked tracks whether big or small see more side by side racing. Just curious on others opinions.

Lawrenceburg has looked like it has had some amazing races this year.
And yet Kokomo is pretty flat and usually see great racing there too. Maybe I need to go to more racing in Indiana!

I live 30 miles from the burg and didn't make it there once this year. It's certainly a great faclity, a well ran program from what I hear and one of the best safety crews around. I should give them another try next year.

I have seen good and bad races on all sizes of tracks with all types of banking. I think more than the banking and track size weather, track prep and being in the right place at the right time when a great race breaks out are probably the most important. The track could be pefect but the field could be short or too many support classes can make a potentially good evening not so great.

I liked the 1/4 mile at Lawrenceburg but man when I finally got to the refigured track for the 1st time it was awesome. Will likely go back at some point.

As far as California tracks are concerned I really like a slight banking 1/3 mile track like the Tulare Thunderbowl has! Also, it is vey wide with 3 racing lines right against the wall! I also really like Petaluma and Placerville and Petalma has a flat surface while Placerville is pretty high banked especially in turns 3 and 4.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

I don't care what the banking is but I prefer A WALL all the way around it with a great prepped surface (water trucks, etc.) so they can build up a cushion and bang the right rear off of it! Notice that the tracks mentioned before my post all have these attributes!!!!!

I much prefered the 1/4 mile track as do most of the people I know who go there and have raced there. To me the transition in banking from straight to turn is much to abrupt.

Yes, they were the days. Don't tell Port....the least exciting of them all unless it rains on raceday that way they will have enough water on there track. The nights it rains at the port it is more exciting racing by far.....just by watching the videos of those races.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Chico late 80's - mid 90's. One banked bad boy, now its not a shell of its once self.
