Its amazing what 2 seconds costs at Knoxville.I was told $14900 for an aluminum Pace 376 cu in motor to run up front in the 305 class,a 360 can run twice that much and more and a 410 can be three times or more.Of course they get paid a lot better in the 410 but the 305 class does allow the part time racers to have fun and makes a good place to start.I would say the new promoter has done an excellent job keeping Knoxville at the top of weekly shows and of course the Nationals wont be duplicated

Change the oil once in a while on the CT525 and you are good to go for a couple of years. You can also change the carb spacer and run with the 360 cars in some series as well.

Not completely true, you also have to blow out the air filter nightly

What about the ones that blew up? They didn't change the oil?

I wasn't aware of any that blew up. Who, what, where, when, why? Serious question, I thought these motors had a very good track record so far but maybe I am mistaken. Thanks for the info.

81 blew up the first night out... 99 blew up twice i believe. 0 had all kinds of problems all season too from what I hear... Maybe the crate is not the best way to go?

Do you have any specifics on what happened in any of thes instances? Interested to know if everyone had the same problem or there were multiple issues. I certaily don't know if this is the best solution to control some cost but it seems to be a popular choice. I also understand that this motor is approximately 100 pounds lighter and can help improve weight distribution and handling.
