One rumor that I had heard was maybe they will shorten the track up to 3/8 mile? Anyone?

We do have a racing committee meeting later today, to work out a few details on the Banquet among other things. Been working on a lot of things and hope to hear one way or the other on on Outlaw date soon, as this this will decide how we go on a few other things. Same basic Classes. We are not going to shorten the track, as this would be pretty expensive and at this time we don't have the money. A lot of people have stong feelings both ways on this. Hopefully we have some BIG news soon!

Later,

Jon

I don't mind, in fact I encourage it. Jackson made a nice rebound this season and I think Jon ought to be commended for coming back when things were a mess, rolling up his sleeves and giving it another go. You've got to admit that he must love that place to come back because some things didn't work out so well last time and going in he knew he was going to have to deal with his detractors.

I'm not a regular and am never going to be but I won't hesitate to make the trip down there for some of the annual specials. Good job this season. I think the word is going to get out and you'll see more cars down there.

Personally I thought the races went great this year. Only 2 or 3 nights where the track had some holes in it and that was because it had rained earlier in the week. The shows always went smooth and were done early. I would really like to see Jon go the the Midwest 305 rules. I think he will gain 4 or 5 cars by doing this and they put on a really good show. I would also like to see something done with the ASCS head rule. Proper tech equipment should be purchased to tech ASCS heads. Or stamp the heads with a serial number and seal them. Also a fall cheaters day race would be kinda cool.
