Short staffed...damn I did NOT mean for that pun...seriosuly, anyway with him and Paul Silva splitting maybe he's a little short on crew right now and looking for a crew chief of sorts. I think it's just the changes with splitting with Paul and maybe just getting ready for Nats.

I know he is entered in the Nationals but it's not on his schedule and his car is pictured in the Mansfield press release for their race this weekend

I also saw it not on his schedule but as you say he IS listed to run Thursday Night. The Mansfield promo poster was just coincidence as it shows a good battle and he won the last race there. If they intended to market it as him being there they would've called it out on the flyer/press release.
He was at Kville two weeks ago for what I assume was a test and tune. I think there just has been a lot of changes lately with his team so his schedule is "light" at the moment (meaning that's why they didn't race Cap and FRC) the last few weeks.

He was at I-55 in Pevely on Friday and Saturday. I am assuming that he will run in Knoxville on Thursday.

I saw him turning wrenches on his car this evening in the old Pamida lot. They did look a little short staffed. He also looked like he had a lot on his plate so I had my son just wait on asking for a picture. We observed from a distance and stayed out of their way for a little while. There was a nice lady there that said my son was welcome to go say hi to Rico but I said they looked busy and would catch him some other time.

Honest Question. I am wondering what may motivate or dictate a decision such as Rico's choice to race with the All Stars instead of the Outlaws. I know that life schedules and personal preference influencres it along with much more. BUT.
He is from California but does that even matter with full time drivers who live in trailers.I ask because I thought the WoO paid much more prize money and he can compete with the WoO so why not go for the gold, also the WoO are snaking their way back to California right now, Seemed logical to me to follow their series on the way west after Knoxville.
I know guys like Skylar Gee raced on his way home to Alberta after the Nats. Or does Rico just drift around the heartland of Sprint cars all summer racing wherever he wills?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Could it be because Rico is living at Tomy s this summer and racing out of Tony s garage a good reason why he is racing with the alll stars .....

yea Rico and Tony are close friends. If he was going to hit the WoO shows he would have to have a new crew chief in place. Be curious to see if he heads for the west coast swing. The guy is a kewl dude and 1 hell of a wheelman.
