Bill posted the new schedule yesterday:
http://www.knoxvilleraceway.com/tickets.aspx
i know its early but i was wondering why there are no 305 races scheduled yet.
also, i see the late model show was taken off in april, i just wish there would of been another night with the world of outlaws.

Like it says, it's subject to change, it's only October...no mention of the TBA the week after Nationals?
If this post isn't results, stories or something c
constructive, it isn't me!

I really thought that the 305's put on a damn good show. I think it is time for Knoxville to think of the future for once. It is too expensive for anyone to get into sprint cars these days. I believe that if Knoxville can add the 305's it would only help the future of sprint car racing. Maybe start them out on every other week or something. Not only will it help get many more people into the sport, it will also putt more butts in the pits and stands. On average, every car at the track will bring 2-6 people in the pits. I am sure in the stands every car would bring that many family and friends. Just my thoughts.

I agree poker player, the 305's are a good thing. They are great for the younger races starting thier career, and older guys that always wanted to race but cant afford the high dollar classes.Actually the 305's are closer to the sprint car racing us older people grew up with-motors that came out of an old car or truck, beefed up,injected, and now flying around the track in a sprint car-hope they can keep the rich boys from ruining it!

all the rich race teams can be held in check in substantial ways - by a promoter with a good rulebook and a pair of nuts.
just as fans know that 305's are the coming thing - the engine builders know it too. Hopefully the track and series promoters will maintain the integrity of their rulebook so the prices don't get out of control with that too. But I wouldn't bet on it - especially seeing how many 360 promoters have completely opened up their rulebooks. Certainly makes the engine builders happy - along with the rich mommy's and daddy's of many teenage drivers.................all at the blue collar driver's expense......literally. We'll see effects of it in years to come - how could we not?
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a
wouldchuck could chuck would

I have heard that Gressman's have put out $12,000-$14,000 305 motors.
Maybe Im wrong, but if they start with drysumps etc...it will become like any other deal.

I really think a person could take a crappy 305 engine and make it work. If ya have a crappy 360, you mine as well stay home, no chance what so ever. I think Knoxville would have the power to start a begining 305 class, and keep it strictly on track, so it doesn't get out of hand.
