Bummer. I was going to make a rare WoO appearance this evening but I guess I'll watch the ARCA guys at Dega instead.

Anyone out there from the Princeton area that can confirm local and track conditions? Is this a difficult track to dry out? The weather forecast says little chance of additional rain today so it should just be a matter of getting things dried out. On the bright side, unlike the past 2 years the weather should be warm.

The first year of the Princeton National they had a rainy weather pattern that soaked the track. Princeton's high banking allows the water to run off the track into the infield. I remember one race day when portions of turn 3&4 and the infield were under water the morning of the race. They pumped the water into the parking lot and were able to get the track in shape by race time. I remember having to tie my shoes on extra tight so they didn't get sucked off my feet in the muddy infield. There were wheelstands all over the place that night and a lot of photographers with wet feet but they got the track worked in and were able to race.

Next time wear your rubbers. Didn't your Mother teach you to practice "Safe Photography"!
