A pair of Badlands Motor Speedway local drivers are competing tonight and tomorrow night (March 9-10) at The Dirt Track in Las Vegas for the World of Outlaws FVP Outlaw Showdown.
Altoona, Iowa’s Terry McCarl and Grand Forks, North Dakota’s Mark Dobmeier are both competing with the World of Outlaws and will hopefully represent this area well. McCarl is an eight-time BMS Track Champion and has won a record 102 times at the speedway. Dobmeier won the 2016 track championship in September, his sixth career title at BMS.
But here’s the kicker for McCarl and Dobmeier: whichever driver finishes higher between the two will receive a $5,000 cash bonus from Badlands Motor Speedway. BMS executives Chuck Brennan, Shon McKee and Jon Schreiner are en route to the Speedway and will deliver the $5,000 cash to either McCarl or Dobmeier tonight, and again tomorrow night.
