This message board used to be a flurry of activity all the time. Now it's dead. What happened?

This is a typical Winter season for the SCRA message Board. This about the same way it has been the last few years at this time during the year.

I agree with Arizona Sprint Fan #1.

It's pretty quiet all year long.

Mostly results.

I think the social media world has really transformed over the past few years.

Message boards were a forerunner.

Now most people seem to express their opinion through tweets, snapchat, instagram and last but not least facebook.

Bigger pictures can be seen on Loudpedal or half a dozen other websites that track sprints.

More important, there seems to a general laize faire contentment with the way things are....

I'm not aware of any raging controversies on the State of Racing.

Not necessarily a bad thing, not necessarily good....

I agree it's always quiet  frown

I use Indiana Open Wheel to converse with open wheel fans, fun group but its centered on midwest racing.

BUT A BIG THANK YOU to Lance (and others) posting schedules and stories.  Really excited with CRA and WC 360 schedules with new tracks added.  Cool for me to see (more) races at Ventura, Oildale, Tulare, Santa Maria, Petaluma, Watsonville, etc.

Curious why no race for July 4th other than July 1 at Santa Maris, but hopefully that means a large car count that night  Smile

Merry Christmas to all and looking forward to a great year of racing in 2017

Cheers

PS SurfSprint - a few lively topics the last few weeks on Indiana Open, ughly midgets and safety initatives by USAC

Excellent insight guys. Appreciate the feedback. I also would like to thank Lance for posting all the results. This is the first place I go to see them. Love following all the California series from here in AZ. Wish our Southwest boys could run more duel shows with the west coast series. Would be some great car counts.

Would it make more sense to throw in the towel with Hoseheads and move the forum over to Reddit? My guess is the postings would go faster and easier for both Lance and Scott, sign-ins and re-edits would go faster for everyone, links would be far easier to set up, and those who wanted alerts to new posts would be able to get them in their email. Just sayin'.

I miss the insighful input of Alex. G.  However, what I really miss the most from this board was the ongoing fued (?) between Dean and Glenn.  Those were fun posts...
