just a few results

Stanley Reed won the modifed feature.....from the back. transferred through the B Main. think there was around 25 of em.

Jeremy Allen won the factory stocks.......from the pole. Bryce ran 2nd. Jorski was runnin 3rd but pulled off the track right after a restart. What happened Shawn?

Gary Owens won the Champ sprints after wrecking Danny Jennings in turn 4 on the last lap. R.Sellers inherited 2nd. Jennings hit the turn 4 wall and stalled.....so he was last on the lead lap. pissed off too was Jennings as he attempted to chunk his steering wheel at Owens. It WAS kind of a dirty move. But on the other hand.....a slide job was the only way Owens was gonna get him........and it didn;t look like Owens intentionally made contact....just at the same time the nature of the move looked a bit careless. Looked like about 25-27 champs.

Danny Jennings did win the super sprint A Main though.......after almost being screwed again in turn 4 on last lap. This time by Brent Swift........who could only be described as completely out of control the entire night (if only deep pockets could make one keep the car straight)....... DJ got caught up behind Swift in turn 3 on last lap while Joe Wood Jr. was closin in fast. Coming out of 4 Jennings and Wood were side by side but Wood slightly got into the wall allowing Jennings to narrowly win. Good race between the top 3 for the last half of the race (DJ, Wood, and Sellers). 19 supers took a green in heat races.

The races at Lawton tonight were better than I'd seen there in a long time. Ironically......the track was very very dry for the A Mains. Still had a top and bottom to it though. But a thousand times better than the swamp we had to witness for ascs speedweek. It was good. Glad I went. Glad the wind was out of the south and especially EAST as well. Congrats to the winners. OKC Metro drivers take 4 out of 5 features.....no okc area guys runnin in the demo derby....I mean....mini-stocks. not that I know of.

Had a Right front tire go down goin into 1 on the restart it was unfortunate I had a very vast car !

I have to hand it to Stanley That was some of the best and most patient driving I have ever seen in my life!! That was great to see stan come from the back of the B and win the whole deal !! Thats why he is one of the best around .

winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Yup, sure was a bonehead move on Owens' part. I was really suprised that he didn't get DQed for that. If the slide job wont work then don't take the chance. Well he did take the chance and gave Danny the Decker the Wrecker right rear move". Guess if you can't win fair and square then might as well beat em up!!!

There's always next week for Danny. Sure hope for Owens' sake the Danny isn't startin behind him. LOL. Pay backs are hell!!!!

I guess that Gary "The salsa dancer" Owens didn't coordinate that dance step with Danny before the race.

Everyone knows that Dan Boy is one of my favourites, so is Gary. But, throughout the season I have witnessed Danny put the same move on other drivers. It's called RACING. Vying for position is what it's all about. I know we are all Armchair Drivers, Quarterback's, etc. But please don't condemn Gary for doing his job. He was out there like all of the other drivers for one, and only one reason, to win.

You cannot fault a guy for that.

I like both those drivers. From where I was, it looked like Gary had the pass made. I don't know, if it was me, I might have wrecked too though trying to get the win. ???? The track was great.

like I said.........it's not like it was all that dirty. But it did look aggressive. It wasn;t near as bad as anything that ever caught our attention and been posted about before. Although at the same time I think DJ had every right to be upset. Poor steering wheel. It was a slide job where he didn't have him cleared. We all see it several dozen times a year. Anyone in Owens situation would have done the exact same thing.....I beleive that. It's not like Gary Owens "Brian Browned" Jennings. It wasn't that careless or screwed up.lol.

And at the same time maybe DJ should have ducked backed down to the bottom coming out of 4. Brandon Jennings (Cheese) was gettin some pretty decent runs at the extreme bottom at the beg. of the Front Straight............and DJ had to do that exact same move in the supers to win............

but when it comes to this kind of thing I'm sure we all have different takes on it. and thats perfectly fine. we're all armchair race car drivers at one point or another. lol. What we saw from the stands and what Owens and Jennings saw from the drivers seat are 2 completely different things..................but I highly doubt Jennings is going into next weekend chompin at the bit to wreck Gary Owens. I imagine both just want to run up front and have the opportunity to win.
