It was one of the best shows of the year. The feature was exciting the whole race. Last lap pass for the win. The heavy hitters that had there problems made it exciting as they had to try and race through the pack. . Someone new won. It was a great race. Strange wings would complain as he never has nothing good to say. Great show. Next race will be the Chili Bowl. Cant wait.

Yes, Stan, even though nobody seems able to promote it, Travis did in fact win his second consecutive IRA title.

Scott Uttech's win last night was sweet. The trouble that team has had at the beginning and then watching him work is way with about 3-to-go and take the lead using what little low line there was was a great capper to the season. Credit the Klootwyks brothers for standing behind Scott and keeping at it when it was not looking so good.

Wings, as always, if you hate the shows so much way even attend?

Whintey mathematically clinched the title after the show at Dodge two weeks ago, some of the excitement was already had.

Hafemann held the Rookie Title for the season and it was his to lose after this month's Superior show.

Found it ironic, the Champ takes out the "Rook" in that B Feature and ends both their nights. Me thinks, this was Whitney's first Feature he did not qualify for this year...Other than the Wilmot show he bought into. But with the title secured, one can assume it was still all good.

Congrats all around:

To Walt and Travis on their 2nd title.

To Billy for the Rookie title.

To Bob Walldan and Donny Goeden for their series high Feature wins.

To Scott Biertzer, Chad Blonde, Kurt Davis, Sonny Richert, Scott Uttech, Scott Winters and Dusty Zomer for their first career IRA Feature wins this season.

Can't wait till next year....

I couldn't be happier for Scott and Andy who have busted their asses all year for this team.  As a new team we decided to run the IRA because of Scott Uttech.  He's a hell of a guy and went above and beyond helping my brothers and I put Klootwyk Racing together.  It was an easy choice after seeing how respected and well liked he is in the IRA community to ask him to drive for us.  We knew we made a good choice even before last night's win.  We're all excited about our first win, but even more excited for Scott on a win that was long overdue.

I wasn't there, but my understanding is it was a hell of a race and well earned.  I don't know who "Strange Wings" is but obviously he/she is one of the cowards who hides behind a screen name and always tries to bring the sport down.

Way to go Scott!

Strange, you are an idiot. Everybody raced on the same track & had equal oportunity to get it done, plymouth is a whole lot better place to end than place like Dodge.I personally thought it was one of the best IRA shows I seen all year watching the under dog Uttech run down Donny at the end there.I think Uttech & Klootwyk racing should be damn proud being able to run down Donny at his hometrack.

That would be JR's second IRA win. He won in the 45 car at Cedar Lake in 2003.

He could, Kristan is plenty fast. I do believe he was the top IRA finisher at the WoO show at Charter, starting 24th and moving up to finish 15th or 16th...?

Again SW, another post showing you don't know very much. Who are you again?

Congratulations to Scott Uttech on his first IRA A-main victory.

Ran a patient and mistake-free race and after 20 laps found, from what I saw, a slightly quicker line into and around turn 1, that was enough to get by Goedon. Watching Uttech the second half of the year, things were really starting to come together and this win was inevitable. A very entertaining way to close the IRA season.

The official report from the IRA site is not up yet, but the others that attended should add more or the missing information to get an idea of what went down for those not present.

Todd King, King 97, No Time [22]; 46. Adam Schroeder, Schroeder 42, No Time [42]; 47. Kirk Fehrman, Fehrman 33, No Time.

1-Lap of qualification is assessed to Irwin for post race incident involving another competitor after their hot lap session.

Kristan is satisfied with only 1-lap as the timing light was not tripped on his 2nd. King takes a nasty couple of up-and-overs through turn 3-4 on his warm-up lap after catching the cushion and putting some scratches on a new car. A. Schroeder nearly takes out the timing light and the Victory Lane board after breaking the front end out of turn 4 and sliding helplessly into the infield coming down for this first leap. Fehrman failed to get a lap in.

Lane Automotive Heat (10 Laps) Top-4 transfer
1. Scotty Neitzel [1]; 2. John Haeni [5]; 3. Steve Meyer [6]; 4. Joe Symoens [2]; 5. Mike Reinke [3]; 6. Rick Kelsey [4]; 7. Mike Dubs [7]; 8. Ken Jay Fiedler [9]; 9. Jeremy Schroeder [10]; 10. Bill Wirth [8]; 11. Adam Miller [11].

Neitzel leads the distance from the drop of the green. Haeni with a nice start and immediately into 2nd. Meyer takes 3rd on the backstretch around Lap-3 after Symoens slid off the banking.

VMAC Racing Heat
1. Donny Goeden [1]; 2. Bill Warren [2]; 3. Brian Kristan [3]; 4. Todd Hepfner [5]; 5. Howie Gleason [10]; 6. Billy Hafemann [6]; 7. Paul Pokorski [11]; 8. Ty Bartz [4]; 9. Jeff Becker [8]; 10. Tony Wondra [9]. DNF-11. Terry Marten [7].

First lap is not completed due to Marten breaks after ducking so low through turns 3-4 he is tossed into the infield and towed back to the pit. Goeden would lead the restart over Warren, Kristan and Hepfner. Lap-2: Yellow is out after Bartz and Hafemann tangle low in turn 4, but Bartz was able to spins out of stalling and moves out. Hepfner would take 3rd on the restart using the top side of turn 4. Lap-5: Kristan would retake and hold 3rd to the finish as Wondra slid off the banking on the backstretch without incident.

Weld Wheels Heat Race
1. Scott Biertzer [2]; 2. Chad Blonde [6]; 3. Billy Balog [4]; 4. Tim VanDerVere [3]; 5. Travis Whitney [5]; 6. Patrick Haynes [1]; 7. Scott Semmelman [7]; 8. Ryan Irwin [9]; 9. Wayne Modjeski [10]; 10. Kirk Fehrman [13]; 11. Scott Lenz [8]; 12. Adam Schroeder [12]; 13. Aaron Schipper [11].

Biertzer lead mostly unchallenged as Blonde grabs 3rd by the end of the second lap. Lap-5: Blonde takes 2nd out of turn 2 on the high side. Lap-6: Good fight for 4th between Whitney and Haynes for the transfer spot leaves the door wide open for VanDerVere to take it.

MPD Race Products Heat
1. Kurt Davis [1]; 2. Johnny Fahl [2]; 3. Darrell Dodd [3]; 4. Scott Uttech [5]; 5. Robbie Pribnow [6]; 6. Michael Emme [9]; 7. Kris Spitz [8]; 8. Travis Luedkte [11]; 9. Jim Lukey [10]; 10. Dave Uttech [7]; DNF-11. Tommy Sexton [4]. DNS-Todd King.

Initial start was waved off. Davis takes the lead at the drop of the green. Lap-2: Yellow is out after the right front wheel busts off Sexton on the backstretch and he coats to a stop in turns 3-4. He was closing in on Davis’ lead and loses an assured transfer spot. Davis leads Lehr, Pribnow, Uttech and Dodd on the restart, in which Dodd takes 4th out of turn 4. Lap-4: Dodd takes 3rd out of turn 2 as Uttech sends Pribnow back to 5th on the frontstretch to end the lap. Pribnow would battle back for the transfer around Lap-8 and the two would actually swap the position at several times around the track.

First Behling B Feature (12 Laps) Top-3 transfer.
1. Ty Bartz [3]; 2. Mike Reinke [4]; 3. Bill Wirth [7]; 4. Wayne Modjeski [12]; 5. Ken Jay Fielder [9]; 6. Jeremy Schroeder [11]; 7. Scott Semmelman [6]; 8. Mike Dubs [5]; 9. Ryan Irwin [10]; 10. Kirk Fehrman [16]; 11. Adam Schroeder [15]; 12. Adam Miller [13]; 13. Aaron Schipper [14]; DNF-14. Travis Whitney [2]; DNF-15. Billy Hafemann [1]; DNF-16. Scott Lenz [8].

Hafemann takes the lead out of turn 2 with Whitney in tow. Lap-2: Hafemann and Whitney tangle in the low side of turns 3-4. Whitney is in need of a right rear tire ducks into the work area and restarts. Hafemann is done. Lenz ducks pit side as the field realigns. Lap-6: Bartz is leading Reinke, Wirth as Modjeski and Fielder swap the 4th spot. Lap-8: Whitney calls it a night, he was making little-or-no progress from the back to transfer.

Second Behling B Feature
1. Robbie Pribnow [1]; 2. Rick Kelsey [2]; 3. Tommy Sexton [3]; 4. Patrick Haynes [4]; 5. Tony Wondra [9]; 6. Michael Emme [10]; 7. Paul Pokorski [13]; 8. Terry Marten [5]; 9. Travis Luedtke [14]; 10. Kris Spitz [8]; 11. Howie Gleason [11]; 12. Todd King [15]; 13. Jeff Becker [7]; DNF-14. Dave Uttech [6]; DNF-15. Jim Lukey [12].

Credit to King and his team for getting the car back together and with borrowed or bought wings makes the call for the B. Pribnow leads from the drop of the green over Kelsey, Sexton and Haynes. Lap-4: Lukey and Gleason make contact on the backstretch which ends with Lucky slowing to a stop in turn 4 with some front end damage. King ducks into the work area for a quick fix. Pribnow leads Kelsey, Sexton, Haynes and Wondra to the restart in which Sexton would take 2nd using the high line out of turn 2 as Haynes and Wondra bounce off each other down low and appear unscathed. Lap-7: Kelsey makes his way back around Sexton and the two would swap the position. Lap-11: Uttech calls it a night and season.

Frank Filskov Memorial A Feature (27 Laps) Scott Uttech wins his 1st career IRA Feature.
1. Scott Uttech [6]; 2. Donny Goeden [2]; 3. Billy Balog [5]; 4. John Haeni [8]; 5. Mike Reinke [15]; 6. Kurt Davis [1]; 7. Rick Kelsey [12]; 8. Ty Bartz [13]; 9. Bill Warren [20]; 10. Joe Symoens [19]; 11. Todd Hepfner [7]; 12. Bill Wirth [22]; 13. Scotty Neitzel [3]; 14. Steve Meyer [10]; 15. Chad Blonde [9]; 16. Tommy Sexton [14]; 17. Johnny Fahl [21]; DNF-18. Tim VanDerVere [17]; DNF-19. Brian Kristan [16]; DNF-20. Darrell Dodd [18]; DNF-21. Robbie Pribnow [11]; DNF-22. Scott Biertzer [4].
Alternate: Patrick Haynes.
Lap leaders: Kurt Davis 1-10, Donny Goeden 11-26, Scott Uttech 27.

Missing man formation during parade lap for Frank Filskov. The start is called back after the yellow is out after Biertzer stops in turns 3-4 after contact with Hepfner (?). Biertzer was towed off the surface on the hook. Symoens had to be thankful for the yellow, he got a horrible start. Pribnow has his front wing askew as the rear bumper on VanDerVere is nearly sheared off. Davis leads the restart of Neitzel, Goeden, Balog, Hepfner and Blonde. Lap-4: Balog gets crossed-up through turns 3-4 and Blonde gets the worse end of it by stalling in a half-spin. He would restart with slight front wing damage. Davis leads Neitzel, Goeden, Balog, Hepfner, Uttech, Haeni, Kelsey, Kristan and Meyer of the Top-10 to the restart. Lap-6: Yellow is out after VanDerVere bounces through the infield down low through turn 1-2 and stalls. Pribnow ducks into the work area to get the front wing pulled off and both are able to restart. Lap-8: Goeden and Neitzel battle for 2nd and swap the spot as Davis is well ahead of them. Lap-10: Neitzel and Hepfner tangle through turns 3-4 leaving Neitzel stalled as Hepfner busts-out at least a 1080 to try and keep from stalling to no avail. Uttech has quietly moved into 3rd now for this restart. Lap-11: Goeden will take the lead out of turn 2 on the high side. Crowd goes nuts. Lap-16: Traffic, Goeden is doing well as Uttech has taken over 2nd out of turn 2 and down the backstretch. Lap-17: Yellow is out after Pribnow, Dodd, VanDerVere and Hepfner tangle in turns 3-4. Dodd and Pribnow would duck into the work area, but not return. It would be Goeden, Uttech, Davis, Balog, Haeni, Kristan, Meyer, Blonde (from the back), Reinke (from 15th) and Kelsey in the Top-10 with ten-to-go. Restart saw another yellow as Meyer and Blonde tangle in turns 3-4, but both were able to not stall as they took evasive maneuvers to stay fired. Kristan and Reinke will easily gain another 2 spots from their 8th row starting spots…Until the restart: Kristan catches the concrete barrier partly down the front stretch and gets upside down. He was Ok. Time needed to move the barrier back into place as the impact sent the barrier to unsafe locale. VanDerVere ducks pit side after push-off in which Goeden will lead Uttech, Davis, Balog, Haeni and Reinke now in 6th on the final restart. Lap-20: Balog takes 3rd out of turn 4. Lap-23: Haeni takes 4th as Reinke is 5th, and Holey smokes! Uttech is using the low line around the track and is closing on Goeden, who the partisan crowd felt he was going to be unbeatable once he took the lead. Lap-27: Uttech dives low, low, low through turns 3-4 and will take the lead coming out of turn 4 to win!

terrible show. Plymouth is a lousy way to end up the season. too many flukes happen at that track.

There are plenty of tracks out there way worse than Plymouth. The track itself is an equalizer, not a "fluke".

It was nice to see the guys with money have a hard time, the 2 time champ didn't make the feature and Chad Blonde tried to put on a clinic for the crowd.

With all that said, Scott Uttech got a solid win, by beating Donnie Goeden at his own track. That is a huge compliment, especially since Donnie won a lot of features this year. Donnie was also a very class act, giving Scott his props.

A very good night of racing. Mr. Sinclair, next year, keep it too the lates and the wings, they work just fine!

Awesome job Scott Uttech, on a win very well deserved!

what the hells a Klootwyk?   anyway,  he will never win a race.   and more importantly to you,   you will never win again.  any bets?

Overall the racing was not the best I have seen at this track just look at the DNF's from above.

Great Great job by Uttech that was very exciting and a well deserved win.

Terrible move by Whitney he got what he deserved on that one.

Whitney has been promoted at each show as being the point leader and I don't think that he mathematically had it clinched until after Lasalle. Going to IRA Sprints.org and under rules it shows how points are earned. I don't fully understand but a feature car could earn up to 87 points or so just for the feature I think this includes passing points. Whitney won by 60 so if he would have not made the show last week it is probable that he would have not won the championship. Just my observation.

Was there any driver that run 100% who made the A main at each and every show including Knoxville? I could be wrong but I don't think so.

I think Klootwyk owns the 3k.

Leave the fender cars home it is obvious the 360's want to run on their home turf.

Did anyone see the Late Model ramming the other so many times and so hard it had to be towed all this after the races. That guy should be banned for life. I though this type of stuff only happened in IRA guess I am wrong.
