Can any one help me out with what the basic 305 budget is for the midwest 305 series or 34 raceway. Like what there motors cost, and how much money they spent in one years time not tearing a bunch of stuff up. :-)
For some one that has nothing what is going to cost to get a car and motor and go racing???? Just basic prices not a big bad ass motor just average?????
Thanks for the help!!!!!

TJB21,
Buying a used roller will cost anywhere from $4000-$8000. A motor could cost you anywhere from $3000-$12000. Then figure in $3.00 a gallon in alcohol, you pry use 10 to 15 gallons a night. You could buy used tires for around $50. You can get 2 to 3 nights on the Hoosier 15. Figure in your pit pass at $20 a night. Hope this helps! If you have anymore qustions let me know!

Cost is going to depend on what you are lloking for. Cars a little older tend to cost a little less. I now a owner who has a 2000 Maxim roller with wings who is asking I think $2500. Same is gonna be true in what you are lookig for in a motor. Check with your local engine buildewr and be sure to furnish him a copy of the rules. Hope this helps.

We started two years ago racing with the Midwest 305's in Iowa. Left GoKarts so we had nothing to speak of, and the first year we spent around $8000-$10,000 on race equipment. That does not include fuel or pit passes or stuff like that. We got a 2001 Maxim chasis and have run free wings since we started. The rules are changing, at least at Knoxville, so it may get hard to run those old wings.
I definitely don't know that much, I think I forget more than I learn, but hopefully that helps.
