I don't think any logical person (which are few and far between) would think that Tony wanted the Kevin Ward incident to end up how it did, but we all saw him gas it, most likely just trying to spook the kid that was racing a Nascar champ and wanted to make a scene (nevermind the dope). And as Ryan pointed out, if you youtube Tony Stewart, there are plenty of other hot headed incidents outside of Kevin Ward, and even outside of dirt racing. He's made an ass of himself every opportunity he has, but thinks that signing a door panel or donating money to a good cause erases how big of an asshole he is.

As if this hasnt been brought up before, you can not definitively say it was Tony who "gassed up" his engine. Quit being a dink and go about your day.

We all saw him gas it to spook the kid?  I saw none of that...

I saw the kid try and jump up on Tonys car and grab onto the wing like he was going to intemadate Tony.

That all went wrong.

Let's think it didn't go wrong for a second and the kid rode around half a lap yelling at Tony.

Would you be bummed on Tony or on the Kid ?

I feel the kid would have been hated for his actions had he not suffered in the way it went wrong.

Just a bad deal and has no place on tv or otherwise being used to push more negitive vibes in any direction.

First on Newman.  I read an article on Newman a while ago in either Sprint and Midget or Flatout.  The person said Newman was one of the nicest drivers in racing and he came from a very nice family.  I would not judge a person right after a wreck on what he said.  What would other drivers say?  For you people that have never set in a winged sprint car.  The right side wing panel blocks you vision to the right,  the Hans device does not allow full movement of your neck to the right, the safety seat wraps around helmet and can block view to right, the helmet eye opening can block view to right and then there are tear aways.  If you have been around racing any you have seen a car try to pass on out side and car on inside never saw him and they got together.  If you have driven a sprint car you will know all of this is true.  Those who have never driven a sprint car, THINK ABOUT IT.

Well stated! Some may find your words harsh' but - I find them making the most sense of this entire thread.

What people maybe have lost sight of is that Tony does have STAR power so that does put him in a different group.
