6.  Did you make it to the Jackson Nationals?  Sunday night was the best show I've seen there hands down. Both classes.  The dirt is fine and we don't need amother 3/8ths track, they're a everywhere.  I think it was demonstrated this year that with the right track prep the big half mile is very competitive with multiple lines.

Actually, I think it's been demonstrated that ANY TRACK WITH THE RIGHT TRACK PREP IS VERY COMPETITIVE!  Friday's track was pretty good.  Saturday's track was a tire eater.  Sunday's track was some awesome fun!   I'm NOT bashing Jackson.   i guess we will see what Tod ultimately decides to do.

For real?  Or is this this more *stuff* floating around out there in the rumor mill?

Still trying to find it on the Facebook and their homepage..  Could of swore it was during the Gold Cup and a bonus if a driver could win 2 out 3 & 3 out of 3???   I know they sought out feedback from the drivers.

Park is NOT my favorite track. Especially for sprints.   The ascs show this year laid rubber on the bottom on the first lap of the feature.  But I will say this last Nebraska360/MSTS show 2 weeks ago was pretty decent and had a top and bottom.  Guys were racing all over the track.  It was nice to see.

If "they" can't afford to race more than twice a week, "they" aren't being paid enough.  The teams that "can't afford" to run three nights ... don't have to, even if there are three nights available to them.  Pay them to put on a show, give them a chance to make some money and they will race.  If "they" don't, someone else will.  If BLands isn't going to run sprint cars during the Sunday night show, why wouldn't somone else?

The "Sprint Car Capitol" ought to have B-main transfers on Championship night, in both 360 and 410's, no?

Personally, I love 305's, the racing is great.  When they ran at Badlands with the USAC non winged 410s, the 305's were a second or two quicker, according to my phone!  The non winged transponder times were shown on the big screens, like usual, but the 305's were either not using tansponders or if they were, the times were never shown.

If racing a sprint car actually made money half of us on here would either own or race a sprint car. If they pay too much more and the tracks go bankrupt then there will be no where to race anyhow. Not to mention the only way to increase purses and maintain margins or break even would mean higher ticket prices. That could price out a fan base consisting of mostly blue collar hard working people. We have to be careful what we ask for. We are fortunate to have 3 big players here in the midwest forking out the money but it is likely not sustainable in the long run. Hopefully there isnt a fall out or something. It is pretty cool what the IRA does in Wisconsin. Multiple tracks, high car counts, good crowds, and a relatively small purse for the area. People just want to race, be competitive, and not lose too much money in doing so.

Actually, a horse racing track, wouldn't believe a 12 year vet of Hosehead's forum would miss that!

Some drivers just plain don't have the funding. Others, don't have the time or manpower to maintenance cars enough to

race 2-3+ days a week. I can't imagine Heskin's giving up time on the propeller business to race more. Maeschen's and

Phillips won't let the farming suffer to race more either. Same goes for 20 other talented drivers in the Knoxville infield.

Some people enjoy just being weekend warriors. Guarantee Clint Garner and his team have more fun than anyone in the

Knoxville infield every Saturday and they do so by racing just once a week.

Interesting. I would think it's lucrative enough to get some of the big names to run all three classes. However, doesn't bode well for an entry class to be involved IMO. Have to think there will be more money going into the 305 cars now.

Let me first say this:  It's GREAT that Chuck is putting up $$ like that for the racers.  Hopefully it's a sustainable business model.

My only complaint:  IMO  305's should be a beginner's class or a place for drivers to learn and move up to another class or for guys that just want to have fun on the tail end of their driving career (a guy like Travis Cram that hopped in a 305 from time to time after retiring (maybe 1 or 2 races a year after taking a year or two off).   By throwing out big bonus $$ for winning all 3 classes will just make it harder for those guys to compete and have fun (why wouldn't a professional driver (ie: anyone that just drives sprints for a living) not try to put together a 305 so they have a shot at the bonus $ every week (I'd say TK, Dobs, McCarl are all considered professional drivers and if they wanted to could run all 3 classes every week).  I don't see how this is good for growing the sport, but maybe it is.

I want to see guys (and gals) learn to race in the 305 class and then move up when they are ready (we are seeing this at Knoxville over hte past few years with drivers like Jamie Ball, Devin Kline, McKenna Hasse, Kade Higday, Christian Bowman).  If Lasoski and Brown were running 360's and 305's every week would they have learned to win in 305's and moved up or would they have stayed in 305's instead becuase they couldn't win against the competition?  (My hope is that they still would move up, but confidence means so much in this sport, if they aren't winning the confidence usually isn't there).

No matter what, I hope all 3 venues / NSL have a great season in 2017 (seemed like 2016 went well to me where I was sitting (Crowds seemed to be up at Knoxville every week, shows were effecient with GREAT racing, and over at a decent hour so families could go to the pits if they wanted or get home (even with an hour drive) before midnight almost every week, and started on time - as a fan, I can't ask for much more than that)

Though I like the intent, and the bonus$$$ would be BIG,  when you look at the current field of 360's and 410's at badlands, how many guys do we really believe are going to do 3 classes in one night.   It's tough enough for teams and drivers to do 2 classes, let alone 3.  And who's got haulers that have 3 cars in them?  Isn't feasible IMO. Am I missing something?

Dobmeier has a family so I understand his situation, but he has had the chance to stay overnight in Brandon and race a 360 on Sunday's for $2500 weekly (and sometimes more) and hasn't done it once.  Maybe he doesn't have a 360 this year, but if he wanted to, I'm sure he could. TMAC only raced 360 at badlands twice this year, but I don't think he had access to a motor all the time either.  I just don't see these teams having the money  and resources to bring 3 or even 2 cars for one night.  But maybe I'll be proven wrong.

So only run one class, still going to be good purse's in each class.

I'll probably get jumped on, but......first off there is a very limited number of teams that can field more than one car and we all know they are the current power teams. Field three cars? Gotta be kidding! The "three bagger" money is pretty safe I'd say!  Once again, this is a plan that would push the lower budget teams and the beginning racer further back in the field. That does not constitute growth. Personally I think it's a lot of hype over nothing.

I don't think the ASCS show laid rubber, they just kicked the infield up onto the track so they couldn't get traction.  I looked at Dover's tire afterword and you could easily race again.  That said, it was a crappy show.  The show 2 weeks ago was wicked fast and great to watch(unlike the USMTS which was kind of boring).  I hope they have that track for the final race in 2 weeks.

I thought Park Jefferson was going to run 360 sprints on an every other week basis next year?  Probably not now that Badlands is going 360's all the time.

I would tend to agree that this is not a good deal for the entry level guy/gal in the 305 class.  I don't really see any big 410 drivers wanting to race a 305 but that is just my opinion.  Money talks.

I think a 305/360 double win or a 360/410 double win would make sense to me but I don't own the track.

Hey just the fact that we are talking about the money involved in the midwest racing scene is a good thing.  All tracks and racers will find where their sweet spot is and what works for each of them.

Look at the flyer, any two classes win's a bonus, and please explain how this hurts the 305 class!

I question if this is legit( official from Badlands), or some people trying to stir the pot even more!!   I just wish we could all get along, have great race tracks for the fans to attend and great payouts for the teams/ drivers to race for!
