Lance DeWease just won his 9th race out of 17 entered, after outdueling Stevie Smith at Port Royal. I wonder if anyone has won more than half their races in a season?

I'm really gaining lots of respect for 80+ yr. old crew Chief Davey (?) Brown. He must really know his stuff, Lance seems to be able to do whatever it takes in that car.

Its been said before, but too bad they can't try that big race in Knoxville.....

Yep, definately knows his stuff.  Lets not take anything away from Donnie.  Donnie is a pretty smart tack too.  Nobody on that team is a dummy TBH.  Even before Lance started that team was always fast whether it be with Donnie in the seat or last year when Justin Henderson raced at Susky and the National Open.  That car is always fast....

With that said those guys have something going that is definately rare, and that's chemistry/momentum.  This is the kinda momentum that we saw with Schatz last year.  No way to really explain it/buy it/manufacture it.  It just is and it's impressive to witness.

Knoxville:  Like you, I wish they would have gone to Knoxville.  I also respectfully understand their reasoning not to and not cry and whine about it because it's their time, equipment, and bodies that has to make that grueling trek and ultimately their decision regardless.  The central PA area is going to be well represented for the Nationals.  As a fan of Sprint car racing whether you're a PA person or not your gonna have to wonder just how well would they have done if they went out.
