Yep, congratulations! I wonder if Lance/Kreitz team has best winning percentage in the country?
A-main was really good, but I didn't like the new format for heats at all. Fastest guys started up front & won with no competition.
Looked for most of the nite like Pittman was going to sweep the whole weekend.... Lance to the rescue!

I've been paying close enough attention back here that I was pretty sure if Lance could get a starting spot up in the first couple rows that he would win at least one of the Features. Congtats to him amd the entire 69K team.....they really have it rolling! As for the new format......if you look back the last couple years I think you'll find that about 90-95% of all the heat races were won from the first row with the WoO tour. So not much has changed there. Just a reminder..... with the old format, the last couple nights would have seen the 13th,14th,15th and 16th qualifiers on the pole of the heats.....and they would have most likely won them.....if not the outside lane...9th-12th qualifiers. In my opinion, the All Stars are running the most competitive races night in and night out, heats and Features. They have the model that the WoO should adopt, but that isn't going to happen. The whole deal revolves around one thing......when the Outlaws visit, they're suppose to leave town with all the money. But.....sometimes they don't!

Think it's interesting that Pittman had a win and a second without passing a car! Lost a spot in his heat race Friday night and a spot in the feature last night resulting in a net number of cars passed for the weekend of -2. Not meant to be a dig at Daryn because he' s obviously very talented, but points out how important just 2 TT laps can have under the current format.

You're preaching to the choir railman, I don't know how they managed but hey've come up with the WORST format possible. Can't wait until Knoxville where you actually have to race and pass cars all night long, how unique....

Congrats to Lance , Donnie Kreitz and Davey Brown , what a team . Now for the not good news , WoO should have stopped race earlier for a fuel stop , track was in bad shape as its been all year , not at all consistent . And sorry to say it WoO fans but the rules and this form of racing stinks , it is not the Greatest Show on Dirt as Johnny Gibson says .

Racing was good, the fastest car won. Lots of sliders and wild action in the back. Stands were packed, thankfully Altman's views are his own and no one elses.

Yes , it was good that Lance won , stands were not packed the way they normally are but that maybe cause of extreme heat , as it affected other tracks as well . Love all the local guys and support the locals anytime but can't support the WoO RACING BRAND . If fans want to see better racing then the Outlaws , go to Indiana . Would like to see the Madam of the Grove , sell the Grove to someone who likes racing , or hire someone who knows how to prep a track .

The Grove has been going downhill for some time now. I'll bet not many of you know that it's actually for sale. It's not listed with a real estate brokerage, however, it IS for sale. One prominent Nascar driver came in to talk about purchasing it but later turned it down.

haha, stands were NOT packed. We were in our usual spot on the backstretch stands and there were about four or five rows behind us that had almost zero people in them. Far from the norm for a WG WoO show. Heat had alot to do with it I'm sure. The racing was ok at best.

And then restarting 2 abreast...whats that all about? Ive been WoO free for over 9 years now...they seen my last $100 with their rubber down follow the leader bs. So with over $25,000 won over the weekend will the 69k go to Knoxville? As hot as this team is they could very will be a player l think.

Thanks for info , I do hope someone worthy of purchasing this track does so and turns it around to where it should be .

there were some open seats but considering the heat i think they had a very good crowd, lots of people in the infield and the grove has added a some additional seating on the backstretch in recent years. the place will hold an immense crowd... just a few things to think about. i dont know what people want... i think the grove had the track in very good shape given that it was 96 degrees. There was quite a bit of passing lots of guys coming from the back to contend. when the fastest cars start up front you will obviously not see that much passing in the top couple spots. I personally enjoyed the show very much. i hadn't been to the grove this year but will try to make it back again soon.
I'm really proud of our local drivers and happy for Lance. he's been one of the best in the business for a long time and it's nice to see him winning again. Stevie was the best car on the track at the end and save a flat tire from Hodnett the posse would have taken three of the top four spots.

Were you there? Didn't think so. How the hell can you say the track wasn't in good shape? It was in The mid to high 90's all weekend and they still managed to get the surface VERY moist. In fact, Friday it was a little too moist. Last night however, it was great. It widened out to 2 very distinct bottom and top grooves with some people working the middle and up top, there was a nice big cushion about a foot high. I actually walked on the track and saw it. It was a beautiful surface. As usual, you weren't even there so how do you know how it was? If you don't like the format, fine that's your prerogative but no objective human being could actually look at that surface given the difficult weather conditions and say they did ANYTHING other than a good job. What do you even mean about it not being "consistent? News flash dude, its dirt. Dirt is never consistent. Talk to any driver and they'll tell you that every track is different from week to week. The feature last night was great. Lots of passing and lots of guys running balls out against that nice big cushion. And by the way, after the races Friday night, the track crew worked on the track until at least 4:00 am. They were still on it with the grader when I went to bed. Maybe if you know so much you should quit talking shit on internet forums about how bad everything is and how great they'd be if they just listened to your stupid ideas and go put your money where your mouth is and run your own track. It would fail because you don't know the first thing about it. The Grove isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than it would be if you ran it.

I know on Twitter and other areas, people are hashtagging LD and the Kreitz team to pull to Knoxville. Is there any real chance of that happening? I haven't seen any comments from LD or DK that says it's even under consideration, and it's so late in the game that I would think they are approaching the point where it'd be too late to get ready. Just curious.

I think the 69K with Lance behind the wheel is definitely one of the top 5 fastest sprint cars in the country right now. Hope they take it to Knoxville. According to Donald in victory lane last night, it's being discussed. Even if they don't, how cool is it to see this little team doing what they're doing? They're all great people and they deserve this. How about Davey Brown? In his 80's and still one of the best. Lance is an all time great in the sport and he deserves to finish his career as a winner. I'm just stoked for all of them. No team in the pits anywhere deserves this kind of success like they do and I hope it continues.
