Longdale Speedway Media Team

Longdale OK, June 20th 2016 – The month of June races are now complete. Saturday June 18th presented the challenge of early morning heavy rains with light rain continuing into early afternoon. With clear radar and a nice evening ahead the crew went to work getting the surface in shape. A slightly delayed start left everyone pleasantly surprised with a heavy but rather racey surface to battle on.

The night’s action began with heat races for the Grand Nationals, IMCA Stock Cars, Intermediate Sport Mods, IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks and IMCA Sport Mods.

At Intermission fans in attendance got a chance to visit the concessions stand for food and beverage along with Herb’s Smoke Shack for his famous smoked ribs and turkey legs. The Souvenir shop now nearing completion of a fresh makeover, to race fans delight has a fresh inventory of speedway souvenirs for all ages. Tip: Watch for some great new additions to the concession and beer garden menus at our next event.
