NCRA Sprints Set for Weekend Double-Header!
 
Business as Usual for the Tour
 
 
Park City, Kansas – June 13, 2016 - It’s a Father’s Day weekend double-header as the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products sprint car division season try again at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas this Friday night (June 17) before heading for their fourth appearance of the season at 81 Speedway in Park City on Saturday night.
 
Rescheduled from a Memorial Day weekend rainout, the “Jack Petty Memorial Sprint Car Showdown” will be the tours first appearance at Salina Speedway in several years. Adults grandstand admission is just $15 (with Kids 15 & Under FREE) while seniors also get a discount with a $10 ticket (55 & up with ID). Military both current & retired are absolutely FREE with ID! Pit pass will be $30. Pit gates open at 7:00 PM with race time slated for 8:00 PM. This event will also be the inaugural Jack Petty Memorial race. Then on Saturday night it’s down the road to 81 Speedway where Derek Hagar (2 wins), Don Droud, Jr. and most recent winner Tony Bruce, Jr. have visited victory lane. Gates at 81 Speedway will open at 5:00 PM on Saturday with race time slated for 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission prices are $15 for adults; children 6-10 just $5 while kid ages five and under will be admitted free. 81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then 0.7 mile west on 77th street in Park City. While Droud has two victories thus far this season, five-time and defending tour champion C.J. Johnson is back on top of the point standings after Droud’s disappointing eighteenth place finish after getting tangled with a lapped car at the last event held. Johnson’s lead is fifteen points over the Nebraska driver while former tour champion Jeremy Campbell sits third in the standings, just 70 points behind. Ray Seeman has had a solid first half of the season and is fourth in the standings while Forrest Southerland, Bruce, Jon Freeman, Jeff Stasa, J.D. Johnson and Jake Greider round out positions five through ten.
