Huge $2000 to Win Event Announced for 305 Sprints!
June 8, 2016 - A huge event billed as “Clash of the Wings” has been announced for Timberline Speedway in Corley, Texas that will pay $2000 to the night’s feature winner and $400 to start the twenty car feature finale. Sprint Series of Texas (SST) and Elite sprint rules will apply, both utilizing the IMCA Racesaver sprint package. However, this event will not be sanctioned and drivers will not be competing for any IMCA points.
Format includes qualifying time trials with $200 going to the driver who sets quick time. Heat, last chance qualifying and the feature finale will be lined up according to the outcome of the qualifying time trials. Entry fee is $50 however, that fee will be waved for drivers who compete in at least six SST or Elite events prior to this event. All drivers not qualifying for the championship feature finale will earn $100.
Below is the special payout for this “Clash of the Wings” event:
A Feature: 1) $2,000, 2) $1,500, 3) $1,200, 4) $1,000, 5) $900, 6) $800, 7) $700, 8) $600, 9) $550, 10) $475, 11-20) $400
All non-qualifiers will receive $100.
Timberline Speedway was built back in 2012 and is a 3/8 mile red-clay oval. The tracks is located twenty miles west of Texarkana on Hwy 67 S; nine miles south of New Boston on Hwy 67 S; four miles west of Maud on Hwy 67 S.
