Basically same as why Nascar cup cars draw a much larger crowd than the xfinity series. People want to see the top class run more than the lower classes. 410 is the top class in sprint cars.
Personally I like all 3 classes at Knoxville. The 305 class has improved a lot and put on some great racing.

410,360, 305 they are all fun. with biggest difference is the difference in pocket book. Everyone seems to assume a guy who drives a 360 is driving it because of his talent level. 9 out of 10 are driving one because thats what they can afford. same deal with a 305. I would bet my left one every true racer driving a 305/360 looks on when the 410s or outlaws come through and salivate for the opportunity to strap in one, just wishing they could cut the check to have a top notch motor. Maybe besides PA, knoxville and a handfull areas around the country there aren't many rides or opportunities. It comes down to if I want to race or field a car I cut the check for 98% of the sprint car world. For the ones that get to race or spectate at tracks that run 3 classes of sprint cars you have no idea how lucky u are. You have no idea what is like to sit though five classes of shitboxes to watch what u came for. Or have promoters that don't like sprint cars, but have them a handfull times a year to keep the fan grumbling to a minimum. Or promoters bitching to get in the staging lane only to sit in ur car through the 45 minute modified crash fest. 360 deal is even drying up in a lot of areas except when ascs comes through and when the big boys are out the underfunded teams have no oppurtunity to competete with first class equipment. the 305 deal has at least brought back sprint car racing to areas that have all but lost it. from 5th on back the purse really isnt a whole lot different if u look at money invested for money returned. which is still a loss. it just depends on what ur willing to spend. There is a lot of talent that the 410 world will never see because of nothing more than affordability. Are 410's awesome? damn right they are!!! Wish i made enough money to strap in one. But any sprint car is pretty damn cool compared to any other form of dirt racing. I personally don't see big dogs coming down and running a 360 or 305 cherry picking because it lets u know where u rate on even equipment for the most part if u got it. The fastest cars are always gonna draw the most interest for a fans perspective. But the biggest difference in the car owning and driver world is what u can afford to strap in to
