Last year Husets averaged 14-18 410's and River Cities draws 28-32 cars. NOSA driver's get $600 for tow assistance, so out of the 28-32 NOSA guys, I would estimate 18-20 of them will make the trip to Badlands. So if you add it up, you are looking at 30 plus cars. Now whether this actually happens is another thing. The one plus is that there is no threat of rain, so that will make it an easier decision for some.

Wilmot is irrelevant to this and say there is 40 cars only 10 of those drivers have talent
|
I didn't post this with Wilmot being relevent to what was being talked about. I posted just to say what my prediction was on turnout. I DO appreciate your input though. Keep up the good work as I am sure your talent level is right up there. Thanks again....

I think you could argue that Wilmot is relevant. It is closer to Knoxville than Badlands is.

The IRA is running Angell Park on Sunday so who knows how many stragglers will follow them up there from Wilmot. That might be a very good attended show as well. It is only just over an hour from Wilmot as opposed to........It will be interesting.....

I agree that the NSL does a great job providing a quality show. They add additional races to keep the fans interest and they have 4-6 teams that can win anywhere in the country. Cannot imagine there won't be 30 cars as they has 32 for the Jackson Nationals last year.
Badlands will be interesting as they will most likely pull at least 6 NOSA cars. The tough part will be for guys like Ian Madsen and more, who have been NSL guys, yet there is so much money up for grabs at Badlands that has to be tough to pass up.
Car Count Guesses:
Jackson: 34
Badlands: 26
Knoxville: 19

I will guess about the same. There's just not that many 410's out there.
My guess is Jackson will end up with a more talented field overall, just because they aren't competing against anyone anywhere........the next night that talent pool will split between Knoxville & Huset's.
The Huset's show will prolly amount to a sweet paying A-Main for the same field of cars you will see there almost every Saturday night.
That's not a bash, it's common sense thinking/banking with what's taking place everywhere else in the 410 sprint world.
If you're paying $30 to go out there thinking you're gonna see some stellar field because of the pay day, you're thinking incorrectly in my mind. $.02

Mad man, Tmac, Dynimite,Zoom, TK,Balog looks like a pretty good start to a stellar field to me, with all the money in the area would think there will be plenty of cars, way to good of payouts to pass up 1 1/2 hours apart.

Irrelevant to you, not to those of us that support OUR IRA. Never had a car count under 24 since I dont know when. 50th anniversary season. 50 years is a great accomplishment. Yes they are not full time high dollar teams as they should not be. This is regional racing with some of the nicest guys you will find. I will stay in my back yard and have races EVERY WEEKEND.
I tell it like I see it.

This is correct. Not sure is Lou will have the 360 or 410 tho. Thomas will stick with the 360 I bet.

Good to see no cars from Knoxville suporting the NSL.
Good thing the NSL doubled down on partnering with Knoxville.

I didn't make it over to Jackson last night. It looks like some good quality cars were there so if the counts were off from what was expected I'm sure the quality of cars made up for the quantity.
I'm not trying to start a he said she said here but because they do not travel it makes perfect sense for BMS to run on Saturday nights so the owners, drivers and fans (in the tri-state area) can enjoy a Saturday night and not worry about working the next day.
It's time to quit arguing about what could have been and embrace what we have in the upper midwest. Track owners that care about the car owners, driver and fans. Tod and Chuck, thanks for what you are doing for all involved in the sport.

You must not of read the results. I would consider 10 of the 26 cars to be Knoxville cars. Of those 10 cars I did not
include Terry, Austin, and Dobs who have ran Knoxville consistently for the last 5+ years...

Looks like you can ad Henderson and Hendrickson to the badlands list as well as Jason Solwold. Will Knoxville even have 18 410s tonight.
Also so and as far as supporting a series. Jackson is a nice little tow from the Knoxville area. Besides about 6-8 Knoxville cars all of the other teams work on Fridays.

Will it be a 2 heat format for 410s at Knoxville tonight?

I recall the Badlands supporters trying to argue that tracks 5 hours apart are irrelevant to each other and wouldn't even compete for the same pool of competitors.
Now those same same supporters are openly enthusiastic about pulling cars away from Knoxville.
Really difficult to understand how pitting tracks against each other is good or, how those fans of the sport can be so excited about it.
