Sprint Series of Oklahoma Back in Action This Friday Night!
 
 
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – May 16, 2016 - Current point leader Andy Shouse leads the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver Sprint Series to Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma this coming Friday night, May 20, as they are once again part of the tracks “Fast 5 Friday” series.    
 
After five events, Shouse holds a 23-point lead over Chris Kelly while Joe Wood, Jr. (- 27), Brandon Long (-28) and Jake Martens (-36) the top five in the standings. Drivers five through ten include Sterling Hoff, John Carney II, Shayla Waddell, Chad Koch and Jerry Jumper.  
Drivers outside the top ten and are also slated to compete include Blake Dacus, Ty Williams, Loyd Clevenger, Gary Owens, Cody Whitworth while a couple others are also slated to make their inaugural SSO appearance.
 
In the tours last appearance at SOS it was Carney picking up his third victory of the season over Wood and Shouse with a twenty car field pit side.
 
Carney has won three events, two at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas, thus far this season while Long (Red River) and Martens (Brill Motor Speedway/Meeker) having both claimed victories.  
 
Friday night gates will open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:30 PM start time. Grandstand prices are $15 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 6-12; all pit passes will be $30.
 
Southern Oklahoma Speedway is located off of I-35 to exit 29, go east on Hwy 70 for 0.7 mile then south on Hwy 77 for two miles.
