Most people I know like to make their own money, keep their own money, and don't need or want anything from our government other than the borders protected. What a novel idea. Of course I am a conservative from Texas, so you know I am just too simplistic and backwoods.

Back in the day most of us N.M. and A.Z. boy's not only wouldn't have minded if Texas succeeded from the union as you've threatened to do, if we could have, we would have voted you out.Open-mouthed smiley emoticon

Lets be adults here please Bigfish. Just because someone brought up an issue does not mean that you need to go on a tirade bringing up irrelevant subjects to try and dodge the original point.......... The original post was about emissions and the EPA, not OSHA, George Bush, or any other thing that you would like to throw in there. In fact, not only was OSHA not mentioned, it wasn't even eluded to. Now, to the point. Did you read the article in Circle Track? NO, didn't think so. Did you research any of the other issues that were mentioned by the other posters? NO, didn't think so. Regardless of whether you agree or not with the mandate by the EPA, the facts are the facts. Far be it for anyone to point out researchable truths with regards to an issue if it does not fit into your little ideal regarding what the facts should be. I mentioned the article, because you can look it up. This is not a blind concern. Much like the other posters, they are basing their arguments on things that you can research. No one started this to get into an argument with you. So why are you bringing up the other crap???????? Do a little research, and if you agree fine. If you don't fine. But good Lord man, this is not stuff that has been made up to frustrate you!

Dodging the original point is a common Liberal tactic.

They use it when the cannot logically defend their position.

yeah just like we want to get rid of guns lol.

keep the conspiracy theory alive man wink

But you are right in what happens if Obama gets a second term. Without having to run for a third....thats when we might actually get some good stuff that can help this country. To this point, Obama has governed center right - kind of like the health care act. The Affordable Care Act (otherwise known as Obamacare) was exactly what Republicans wanted for two decades - it was what Romney passed in Massachusets. And the same people who wanted it (and DID it) are now saying it is "Unconstitutional".

You can hardly find many liberals that are for the Individual Mandate - they all wanted the public option......but it's hard for informed people not to laugh when they hear a republican try to talk down what they argued for two decades that we needed wink

Plus he could also ram a bunch of crap down our throats by Imperial Decree, like the recent Illegal Immigrant scam (which he conviently waits for until right before the election).

Please explain how the Republicans WANTED something like Obamacare for 20 years.

President Clinton and her husband tried to do that in the early 90s, and the Democrats lost control of the House and the Senate in 1994.

geez this is an absolute field day for absolutely retarded claims.

There have been over 4 million government jobs shed since this President took office. That's a big reason why the unemployment number is still so high. This is an absolute fact sir.

You are right to have such disdain of your government though, but not for the overly simplistic (and false) reason you suggest. We are paying out the ass for a government that does not represent those paying into it.....they are representing the corporationg you are talking about. Big business can talk all the crap they want about government - but they actually love it. It's an entity that has proven time and time again that it can be bought to represent the big business agenda.

Gear up - it's only going to get worse with the Citizens United ruling in the Supreme Court. Over 85% of democrats AND REPUBLICANS agree that ruling was disastrous. We need less big money in campaigns.....not more.

That's mostly LOCAL government jobs. The fat pensions the local Boss Hoggs have been handing out to the Government Unions to keep themselves in office has finally crashed the finances of local goverments.

How many of those lost jobs are at the Federal level?

Dodge it my---, it was answered to in the third post, mine.

This administation was not in office when this law came into effect... geeeez

In 2007, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the EPA had authority to regulate greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane under the Clean Air Act if the agency declared them a public danger. The EPA issued an endangerment finding in December 2009, clearing the way for regulation of emissions from power plants, factories and other sources linked to global climate change.

Why does it really matter who passed the laws???? They all suck! If they work in Washington, Republican or Democrat, they are not working for the people! Has anyone ever noticed how the most intelligent people that The U.S. has to offer go into the private sector and we get the idealist rummies running the country???? There is a reason for that.

Then maybe the poster should have stayed on the subject, instead of adding this crap, no? " this administration must go or in just a few short years there will be no racing".

I'm with Nick14, Bigfish, cheroger & OKCfan12. Obama & the EPA have much bigger things to worry about than shutting down sprint car racing. Paranoid fantasy

& its completely wrong that gov. can't create private sector jobs. The Feds subsidized the railroad industry back in the 1800s which directly led to the industrialization of America. Ditto Eisenhower's highway system which promoted auto industry, construction, interstate trade, etc. etc. How about defence industry jobs?

They should do more.

Anyone notice last year that lefty peacenik George McGovern drove a few laps in a sprint car (In S. Dakota ?)last summer? Cool guy, WW2 bomber pilot, KNEW that war was bad, unlike "chickenhawk" Bush.... but I digress, huh?

Yep, your right there. " this administration must go or in just a few short years there will be no racing". That was a dig, I'll give you that. Guess I glossed over it. It happens so frequently now that it is easy to miss those one liners.

Right wing fanatics step back and walk away from your television sets. The sky isn't falling and you don't need to stockpile weapons for you're own private tea baggin' revolution. I chuckle everytime Obama is referred to as a "socialist" or "communist"....sheesh go back to school and LEARN what those words actually mean and you'll sing a different tune. Obama is as entrenched in the corporate "capitalism will fix the world" mentality as any of em before him or after him will be. FOX news lies to its viewers and unfortunately its viewers aren't sharp enough to see through their manipulations and bullshit.
Cheers!
