You want to judge a guy on his worst runs in a winged sprintcar the past two seasons, go rite ahead. If you want to judge how good he is in a sprintcar, Watch Kyle at The Gold Cup in Chico. He will lap any posse member who shows up that can actually make the A against the Cali Clique.

Not judging him at all, I'm actually a fan of his. I'm just stating the facts, he hasn't done anything in Central Pa with the exception of a 3rd place finish at Grandview which had a ton of flat Goodyears. I'm sure the Posse guys would struggle out in Cali, especially if they've never raced there. I am a fan of sprint car racing everywhere.... From the KWS to Knoxville to Ohio to PA. Central PA is definitely his problem spot and you can't deny that, no matter how much you like him. There's no doubt that he'll get better, nobody is saying that.

I too have become a big fan of Larson. His qualifying is not very good. I think that has a lot to do with him not sticking to one track. Or following a circuit that is going back to the same tracks. It's hard to make a lot of notes when your 19 and only going to a track a couple times a year. I think what makes him so good are his adjustments. The way he naturally gets a feel for the track starting in his heat races. If he has to run the B he may even be better in the A. There are only a few cars nationally that would have to start the rear of a feature and be a contender to win. I also think it's a little premature to say he is the best we've seen in a long time. Donny Schatz isn't too bad.

MSPN, They have Television Eyes, Meaning that is all they see just like the camera missing all the action !!!!!!

The 1 guy says wins are missing. I think he is missing. The kid is doing more than anybody out there at this point and time. He has an excellent resume already & with the runs he is doing is getting talked about more than who won. BTW who did win !!!!

Yea, i'm missing what??

He has 1 Outlaw win this year. That would be a fact. Not sure about this, but i dont think he has won any All-star or other winged races, but i could be wrong on that one. I know he doesn't race with them often, and has alot more on his plate then most, but my point was only that he hasn't won much this year.

I guess you didnt read my post. I have been to about 40-50 races this year, from PA to Cedar Lake, Wisconsin. He drives the wheels off it everytime and puts on a great show. I have not seen many drivers with more talent then Larson, but he is not winning many in a winged sprint car.

MSPN,

I will send you a few pics, the boy is now 6'2. Lol

Still disagree with ya on the waiting thing. He is a good show, no doubt, but so is Shane Stewart, Pittman, Kaeding, Haud, Marks and many others. If you wait for one, you wait for all, which could get a little tricky.

How about that "pass" Schatz puts on Marks at the 1:30 mark...?

Why isn't there a thread about this? If this was Sammy we'd have 80 posts on it by now...

CALI CLIQUE! I like that. Hey, we got more Cali hot shoes coming up out here;

Shane Golobic, won a WoW race at Antioch, check out his profile in latest Flat Out

Rico Abreu, running in Iowa and Minn. currently, also runs with WoW. Always in top 5 out here with many wins.

Dominic Selczi, a very impressive rising star with the King of the West 410 series.

Ryan Bernal, star with USAC out here, currently running speed week in Indiana with the USAC big dogs

And my favorite TK, Tim Kaeding. Nobody rides the berm like TK, even more exciting to watch than Larson

Trophy Cup in October when we'll see all these guys running at Tulare, Ca, plus some Oulaws.

Kyle being sentenced to a career in stock cars quite frankly scares the shit out of me. It would be like putting Bodie from Point Break in jail and  never being able to chase that endless summer.....

whoa I just got deep

Respect the lineup

Right! Just wait a year or two and you'll see some more no talent Cali drivers on the national scene.

Yeah your right, its just not always for the lead........If your watching backpackers and not the lead then why do you watch?

you go to a racetrack to watch to see who is ultimately the winner I thought? All the guys passing in the pack dont mean nothing if they dont win......Take Larson for example.....If he dont start winning lots of races to back up all the passing he does then in 10 years you going to come on here and say remember Larson and all the passing he used to do but rarely won a race??????I am not knocking the Outlaws cause I love watching them, would love to see Larson battling for wins versus always being the hard charger that dont win shit if you know what I mean?If not then keep arguing for for the hell of then i guess.I am also a victim of going to Eldora to much where passing for the lead alot is Rare cause of the parade of bullshit that it usually is........I need to venture to more racy tracks and hopefully my view will be what yours is instead of follow the leader heat races and somebody always coming from the back but falling short cause this guy or another guy started on the front row and the cars are to equal at this particular track

Maybe some fans will remember he won 50 plus races the last two years. Just a thought!
