Why not? The whole world thinks Minnesota revolves around Minneapolis.

I'm from rural Illinois. When I tell someone where I'm from, they say "oh, Chicago." No. A long way from of Chicago. I live on the edge of town, and pig shit is still spread on the field across from my house, so not even close to chicago. ;)

I was there. Kyle has mentioned several times it was a mistake. He owned it.
|
That does not change the fact that he did it. I've been going to races since the early 60s. Everything from jalopies up to winged sprint, if it raced on Dirt I have most likely watched it. In all that time, thru all those classes I have NEVER seen the driver that was the reason for a yellow flag get his spot back. Or seen a driver who stopped and exited his car under yellow get his spot back. My God, asshole,, be a driver or a race official and stop trying to be both!

How long have you been perfect Oswald? Probably all your life apparently.
He owned it and he apoligized. Then he and Brad hired Mike Hess, unversaly respected by the drivers, to oversee raceday operations to ensure this doesn't occur again.
Perfect example of a HL hater. So tired of this petty crap. Nothing they ever do or try will be good enough for you people.
Legit cricism is fine and HL is far from perfect, but saying rediculous things like this about something that happened a year ago and has been addressed and corrected going forward helps no one.

That's how I feel as well. The existence of the series itself doesn't bother me. I still think losing the All Stars is a detriment to the sport as a whole because it negatively affects the 2 biggest hot beds in the sport. At least it does for now. Maybe that void will eventually be filled and things will end up better off. Remains to be seen but I personally don't see it coming. I've been wrong before and I hope I'm wrong about that as well. There's a lot of people out there who are so blind with hatred for the WoO, that they refuse to see the good that the WoO has done for our sport since 1978 and continues to do today. On the same token, said fans will also kiss High Limit's ass no matter what they do right or wrong and have zero objectivity whatsoever. I've never quite seen anything like the Larson worship that some people have. It's flat out weird........

As I have said to you before, I respect your opinion on things, but I am trying to figure out what Sweet has done over his career to be viewed a a "complainer". And you say that HL was "arrogant" when putting this together and now all this petty criticism is somehow warrented because of that. Can you give me an expample of this arrogance?
How has HL hurt the hotbeds (assuming you mean Ohio and PA)? Attica and Fremont have been getting good fields, so has PA. Ohio Speedweek is still a go, as is PAs. Soon HL will be offering up $75K to win the Weikert at the Port, which from looking at X has several PA drivers very excited. Remember, it was Lincoln who decided to drop the All Stars a few years ago. Why? I'm sure HL would love to book a race or 2 there. I'm glad they aren't running the Grove. Who has PA lost to HL? Marks? - he hasn't been a full-time PA local for years. You still have eveyone that I can think of.

I'm not so sure dropping the All Stars was Lincoln's decision the way I remember it was the organization thought was running too many dates in Pa and only scheduled a few shows at Port.

Just like the NFL saying on Monday that after they reviewed a play it was not a touchdown. But it was called one by the officials on the field and upheld by the instant replay official To late , the mistake changed how the teams played the rest of the game. I could not care less about High Limit or World of Outlaws. I have no dog in that fight But Larson had to know it was wrong before his car came to a stop. Larson has great talent as a racer, but that made me question how smart he is.

It sure looked like chicken wire that got ripped off thew poles at KoKomo in turn four last night.

7 large cables around Kokomo, yes the fence can be torn down, but no cars are going through that.

If you'd spent some time in the pits at enough WoO shows, get to know some people and you'd see he was known as someone who complained a lot. Not gonna mention names but there were some running jokes over the last several years. As for the arrogance, nothing in your face just a passive tone to some of their tweets at times. Read between the lines kinda shit. And as for the fields being effected, that remains to be seen. I see scenarios where it can go both ways. Time will tell. Now looking at the $75,000 to win Weikert Memorial, this is where I see a potential issue. Think about it. As a fan in the stands, am I seeing anything additional? Nope. Same show it was when it was $29,000 to win. The field will be pretty much the same except Sweet will be there now. But now it's $45 to get in. The teams are happy for sure. Especially the one that wins. But what are the fans getting? Nothing that they didn't get when it was $30 to get in.

Unbelievable. Teams want to be able to race for more money. Nearly $50k is added to the Weirkert is a bad thing somehow.
I'm sure the Outlaw races at the Grove are just $5 or $10 to get right?

So your saying the fans should care more about the teams finances than their own? Sorry but he's right the fans are paying more to see the same show. Sweet isn't that big of a draw.

Oh good lord. I've spent plenty of time in a WoO pit before and after a race and have never seem anyone have any issue with Brad or Kyle. Matter of fact, I've seen plenty of drivers come up and talk to both with no issues. TK came up to him after the Nationals in 19 and apologized for getting into him and Brad said they were all good. But hey let's not mention names because most likely there aren't any. You know you are allowed to simply say I just don't like xyz driver, and don't have to make up conspiracy theories on them. It's OK to simply not be a fan of someone, it's the blatant making up stuff that ruins an argument or seeing things that aren't there because of your dislike. Just say I don't like him. Oh and I guess he cheated tonight too. Bigger engine? Traction control? How did a 5time champion, 80+ outlaw winner, Kings Royal, Nationals, Bellville midget , Knoxville midget, etc winner do to win a regular show in NY tonight.

Like I said, talk to some people. What you see outwardly is rarely the entire picture. When you get to know people, you hear what they really think and what really goes on. Don't believe me? Fine. I don't really give a fuck. That part is entirely up to you. I don't dislike Brad or Kyle. In fact, I own their shirts. Brad is passionate as hell. Sometimes to a fault. It's that simple. But since you mentioned it, you might want to look at the video of the fuckery that occured at the scales tonight. Absolutely TERRIBLE look. Is there actually anything illegal going on there? I don't know. I wasn't there to see what he weighed. But I do know what that video clearly shows and anyone who doesn't see that as being a bad look, is simply not being objective. I was under the impression that they hired all these superstar officials to ensure that Kyle wouldn't get out of the car and call balls and strikes mid program and granted, that hasn't happened again but this is an even worse look in my opinion. Again, I highly doubt he was under weight they just gave everyone reason to question things and now those "conspiracy theories" just grew a set of legs based on what everyone could see in stunning High Definition.

Where did I say it was a bad thing? I'm only pointing out that it's a great thing for the teams & basically the same thing for the fans at a higher cost. Which isn't an opinion, it's a fact. It's the same show, pretty much the same caliber field plus Brad Sweet. As far as not mentioning any names, you're right. I won't. And I don't give a shit who likes it or not or whether you or anyone believes me. My friendships are more important to me than proving my legitimacy to randos on the internet.

And point out where I've ever said more money to the teams is a bad thing? You're too stupid to truly read and comprehend things in context. I've said countless times that more money for the teams is great for the TEAMS. It is. There's no debating that. But at some point it will hurt the fans if more and more additional money keeps coming from their pockets. If you weren't a total smooth brain, you'd be able to comprehend that as an unbiased factual statement but since you're an arrogant asshole who no one likes with the intelligence of a pube on a truck stop urinal, you'll just spin it to fit your self obsessive need to argue.

Don't judge the rest of the state by Philly. We have been trying to give that place to New Jersy for years and they refuse to take it. Our politics would even be more normal if we could get rid of it.

Sorry, Philly is one of the coolest cities in the good ole USA

You seem to think you know more about the sport than Brad Sweet or Kyle Larson.....hmmm
After all your praise for HL, you won't go to see them in your home town?? Sounds like cutting off your nose to spite your face, or missing a good race to support your obstinate, stupid opinion... or should i say "obsession"?

Impressive car count, stout field, but a total dust bowl. I was there. Port would have been better with the same field...
