Back to the original post here! I will make the trip for the Queens Royal! Great to see a nice paying show with no sanction! I truly hope it works out for the promoter!

Honestly it might be tough. That weekend is packed. Its NASCAR weekend in St. Louis. I'm sure a lot of local folks will want to go to that. I wonder how many might attend both.

Concerning cars, I'm sure they thought piggy backing off the High Limit race at Granite City a couple days before could be beneficial. But unfortunately every sprint car series around is running that weekend. WOO is up north. The All-Stars have the Rudeen race in WI that pays $26k. USAC sprint cars are at Knoxville both nights along with Knoxville 410s on Sat. A newly scheduled two night Powri 410 race is now scheduled at Moberly. MOWA is running at Granite City on Fri night. ASCS national is in OK. Extreme midgets are running three nights that weekend. Anyone running for points anywhere is probably locked up.

As much as I'd like to see this show be a success I'm wondering how many non local cars they might actually get. Rico possibly. Brent Marks. Who else doesn't run for points that might show up? It's kind of looking like it could be a really good paying weekend for the locals. I think for the show to really be successful it probably needed to be sanctioned. For that money you might have gotten the All-Stars some weekend. That probably would have cost more but it would guaranteed some names that people really want to see. Hopefully it turns out better than I'm afraid it might.

Afraid I have to agree with Mo here

These days if you want the names, you pretty much have to book one of national series but who knows... as has been said, the High Limit series being so closeby on Wednesday may help keep a few of those guys local who want to cut down on diesel.

I'm particularly intersted in the new BKM 67, Christopher Bell will just be up the road for NASCAR, would he want to see his driver and car on the track only 90 minutes away.  And what about Stenhouse?  He raced at Farmington years ago and says he wants to be in his sprint car more this year.

1.  I don't care if you do believe me---it happened 100% that way.   The guy was very young, and just got in the plumbing business.  The plumber that plumbed our house just a few years earlier, retired.  I didn't know this guy very well, but saw he was a plumber, so I gave him a call.  (Normally, I fix my own crap, but this was an on-demand heater, and it was like looking at Japanese when I took the cover off-----ended up replacing the heater under warranty)  I apologized to him and never put him in that spot again.  I honestly didn't think he was going to be able to fix it, but at least he could tell me what was up?

3.  So we do agree that employees should not be allowed to work for a competing business.

I guess our main difference in opinion is whether or not the WoO and High Limit Series are in direct competition.  I'm fine with having a differing opinion.  In my eyes, it absolutely is a conflict of interest and if I were the WoO, and I were paying a certain group of drivers a premium to remain exclusive, I would have the exact same rules.  But that's just my thoughts because I feel like I've been involved in what I consider similar circumstances.  Hopefully, they get it sorted out so the fans can enjoy both----I would be elated if the Outlaws did not have the clause---but I understand why they do.  I also think it's good business.  So, in this case, I side with the WoO and their decision to protect their brand.

But those are just my opinions.

Sorry it took a while but thanks for your response.  It's ok to have different opinions on things that doesn't make mine or yours right or wrong (also it doesn't make either of our opinions fact lol) and reading through this we both want the same thing.  Even if I disagree with your examples, I respect your opinion.  Have a good day.
