It sucks because tomorrow’s purse (not that they’ll get it in with the forecast) is actually bigger the Lernervilles Silver Cup and if you take out the winners share, tomorrow actually pays a very similar purse to the National Open. Summer Nationals should always have 40 plus.

Late draw and didn’t TT well. Started in back of heat race and didn’t qualify.. Started 6th or 7 th in B main and was running in a qualifying position with 2 to go. I was standing in pits in 3 and 4 so didn’t see what happened but he dropped back to 7 th and was a DNQ. Chose not to take a provisional.

TRoy Fraker was in the way of Sides, Zearfoss and Rahmer as they tried to lap Him, Sides checked up and the rest of them seem to as well and Marks went by Rahmer with a lap to go to take the last transfer spot.

Congrats to the Posse on total domination over the Outlaws. Gotta give credit when it is due!

Props to Williams Grove for having the track surface in perfect shape. That's how it's done. Greg Wilson didn't have such a great night but I sure as hell did. Awesome to see Lance get that historic 91st win against the WoO. When you look at the names on that list, it's a who's who and Lance is now all along at #1. It's a shame we lost the race tonight. Weather has been brutal for all of those WoO guys.

Is that really perfect shape? The bottom half of the track kind of came in towards the end but other than that it seemed like a freight train on the cushion from the broadcast. I've definitely seen worse but I've also seem much better. I'd classify it as kind of a line and a half?

There was a bottom and a top. They didn't best the snot out of the cushion with water trucks. It wasn't dusty at all and it wasn't a cornfield. It had adequate moisture but it wasn't a rice paddy and at the end of the race, most of the rubber was still on the tires where it belongs instead of being burned on to the track surface. Don't know what more you could ask for.

Had to go back to watch highlights to make sure I wasn't going crazy - you're right on a lot of your points but I disagree about there being a bottom. The only time I saw it being used was by lappers being passed or a slider, like when the 69K parked it on the 15.

Not dusty? Where did you sit? I was in the pit belachers in turn 2 and was covered in dust.

Unless the wind is blowing at your back, you're always going to get dust there. I've sat there several times and it's often times a bit dirty. Every dirt track is dusty to some degree. What I was getting at, is that it wasn't dusty beyond reason like it was last week. It was a very good track surface but since it's Williams Grove, a lot of people don't want to talk about that yet will praise Port like the 2nd coming of Jesus no matter how good or bad it is. Williams Grove has been bad most of the time this year but this week, they found a nice balance and I'll give them credit where it's due. No track is ever 100% perfect but there's was very good this week. Hope it continues and Williams Grove can go back to being a great track like it once was.

Does anybody remember what RACING is? There was one pass in the heats, one in the feature. That whole night sucked.
Could save everybody 4 hours and draw for finishing position.

Not sure what you want from attending a sprint car race? Me I want to be entertained. The last two races I attended at Williams Grove I came home satisifed and with a smile on my face. The Mitch Smith ( when Dewease's wing collapsed) and Friday night with Dewease (a local) passing the best sprint car driver in the world. The atmosphere alone, when a Posse driver beats an Outlaw is well worth the price of a ticket for me. The passion of the fans is second to none when the Outlaws come to town. I took a buddy who had not been to Williams Grove in ten years and when the checker flag waved he was grinning from ear to ear and asked when I was going again. I guess to each their own, but last week I saw three great races, Lernerville, Lincoln and Williams Grove.

Don't forget Sheldon. He started 20th and was up around 11th or 12th when his motor blew. He was actually doing a lot of his passing using the bottom which is something you don't often see from him or his dad.

Haven’t watched Sheldon for too long have you? You don’t win a bunch of races in Ohio without some catfishing skills.

You realize the objective is to win? 14 to 8 who cares? 20 to 11, big deal!
