...OK...I put my Beer Hill Gang shirt on, got myself a bag of Middleswarth chips, downed a quick six of Rolling Rock, watched some classic Joe Paterno / Penn State videos, went outside and faced to the east, clicked my wooden shoes together three times, and then watched the video over and over again in slow motion...gotta say I STILL DON"T BUY IT !!!

...Rahmer dumped Harrison plain and simple...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!

I just choked on my diet coke...that is the funniest thing I have read in weeks! The worst part is - all this happened right after gasitup and I went and told Fred how happy we were he stuck around to race the Doty.

Ok - "racing deals" happen, but Fred made no apologies to the guy parked right next to him with a completely destroyed race car. That was the classless part. I don't think Fred punted him on purpose - they were racing for position hard into turn 4. It happens. I just wouldn't expect that move from a seasoned veteran. Oh well. He won't get a Christmas card from me this year!

Its typical Rahmer.

Brake checks, piss poor slide jobs, pinching cars going into corners, running cars into the infield wall on the straightaway.

The guy has no respect for his fellow competitors, yet for some reason, most of his competitors have the utmost respect for him. I don't get it.

It's amazing what comes out of the closet after a big win!

Why don't you just let judging the Posse up to the folks who witness it week in & week out. Your vision is blurred by your circus clown goggles!

If Rahmer went any lower on the track, he woulda been in the infield! Freddie maintained his line.

You'll never get it!

typical PA posse mentality. the only clown that was at the Doty was the Rahmernator. just up to his normal, " if i cant pass him in 2 laps, punt him..."

Remember everyone, we have not seen the PA posse version of the video. From what it hear it shows the incident totally different.

So what everyone is saying is the car in front (RR is in front of LF), Rahmer, should have lifted and "let" Harrison "have" the position? There were at least 3 lanes to the outside of Rahmer.

When I heard of the incident in Ohio, I thought Rahmer "drove" him "hard" into the fence. They made contact at the bottom of the track and Harrison ended up in the fence. Looked like two guys fighting for the position on a tight track. Rahmer driving hard up the track, Harrison catching a bite off the cushion – oops not enough room - contact crash. If the shoe were on the other foot would anyone be complaining?

I said it above (and at the Royal) that they were racing each other hard and Fred had to know he was there. He tried a slider and didn't clear, punted a low budget one car/motor team head first into the fence and had no remorse about the incident. I think the whole thing has been over inflated, but I still feel Fred and his many years of experience had to know he wasn't going to clear Harrison when he dove under him. I will give him the fact he had never raced at Limaland - a short, high banked, 1/4 mile bullring - so I think he just thought he had more momentum coming off the turn that he actually had - and Harrison wasn't going to give it up so easily. I talked to him tonight - he said it happened so fast he didn't have time to react and lift or he would have. He's not the type to want to tear up a car - he doesn't have many spares.

Come on swamp..... if a car runs up over the RR, obviously he had him cleared...admittedly on by a few inches...but still clear....

...Cobra...I believe the Brad Doty Classic was Johnny Gibson's 1100 and some consecutive race ...he has seen more races then me, you, Swamp, and probably everyone involved in this post combined...I am pretty confident he makes the right call from the best seat in the house...

...and I quote, "Harrison climbs out of the number 10 and is upset with good reason. Fred Rahmer didn't have much chance of making that move work but he tried it anyway"...

...let it go...the Fresh Prince of Posseville blew it...flat wrecked Harrison, then preceded to the feature where he put the backup lights on until he pulled in early to avoid being lapped for a second time...

...BOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!

So I guess what some are saying is that at last years Nationals, Kemenah was at fault for driving into Wimmer's right rear sending them both flipping into turn 2 and causing them both to miss a chance at the "A".

And it was Hannigan's fault at Charter last year when Winker put a slider on him (very similar to Rahmer's) and Winkers RR clipped Hannigans LF.

Unbelievable stupidity. The result of a bad slide job is almost always the person at fault's RR hitting the victims LF punting him into the wall. Remember folks...the person pulling the slider does not have the line unless he can completely clear the car he's sliding under...Rahmer didn't clear him, thus he punted him. There is absolutely no debate about it.

Wow, I wonder what it's like to look at the world through Rahmer blinders. On second thought, I don't wanna know.

I could give a you know what about this deal but it's interesting that no one mentions that someone could get hurt/killed by stupid moves like that, not a peep. It's part of the problem of our sport, to many guys can drive over their heads with reckless disregard because of how safe the cars are today. No fear has changed to no brains and total disregard for finesse and skilled driving, just sticking it in there and hope.

It's become acceptable, just like my Dad said it would be 40 or so years ago. He was right about wings on sprint cars as well.

Kenny, sorry about the dinosaur days of wingless racing gone by the wayside, evolution sucks I guess. Fred has won hundreds of races and is more skilled even in the latter part of his career than most in the sport today. If your comments were meant in general, fine. If they were meant specifically to Fred, then you're clueless. Take It Easy....

Relax, stand up and pull your shorts out of your a**, and you should get out more often. LOL Traditional sprint car racing is far from "gone by the wayside". Check out the highlights from this weeks Indiana sprint week and you'll see more tight side by side racing than you see in months of outlaw races. Come on over here for the Western World, the oval nationals and now the Copper on dirt and you'll see things like Jerry coons Jr coming from last to first on Manzanita's big 1/2 mile and you won't see those guys closing their eye's and hoping for the best on that track, not often anyway..LOL

As far as "If your comments were meant in general, fine" goes. Well I certainly didn't ask and man I sure don't need your approval about what I think or know.

Take it anyway you want.

Kenny

Look I've said it before and I'll say it again. You guys are blessed to have the regional rivalries that keeps the interest and passion up for the sport we all love. Just hope it never goes under one banner like what happen out here when USAC came and stayed and trashed 50+ years of rivalry between CRA/SCRA and the rest of the great bunch of non-wing drivers we have over this way.

Your traditional racing is alive and well at about a half dozen tracks in the country most of which I have attended and seen some great racing but reality tells us that it has almost gone the way of the dinosaur, sadly.

Generalizing about Fred or other champions is more a sound of sour grapes than anything else, sorry 'bout your luck again. Just be thankful the winged guys don't take 'em off more often and embarass your regulars. Take It Easy.....

What did I say about your darling boy Fred that upset you so much, not a damn thing. OK, if you'd like.. Yes, that was clearly a bad move on his part and yes, no one mentioned the danger involved in making bad choices like that, just about the money involved and that was my point "no one mentioned the danger involved", get it???

There used to be some who could run both, you know who they are, but not today they couldn't, not this group, no way. Everyone knows it was a fluke when Stevie Smith, who I saw as a rookie at Manzy and knew he'd be like his old man, put on that big right rear and ran so well at the million dollar deal.

Tell me again why the winged boys haven't sat on the pole at Indy like Billy Boat for Foyt, or were the youngest ever to run there Like JJ Yeley and why they aren't out making the big $ like Blaney with NASCRAP. Could it be they just didn't or don't want to..LOL.. that they are just not interested in fame or fortune? I feel sorry for the sprint car fans that are in a part of the country that doesn't't have regular traditional shows, there deprived.

Pompous ass

Every time you strap in it's dangerous or haven't you figured that out yet, sheesh!

Your insinuation of no brains and reckless is about as dumb as that move may have been, congrats! The talent lies with those that can control some speed and they've proven that often, some guys still like 'em side by side like and about the same speed as modifieds tho', all the best. I've been to a couple Oval Nationals, IN Sprint Week and have seen some great racing at Ventura. I've seen USAC at a half dozen different tracks and enjoy traditional racing but I can't stand traditional guys who are blind to winged racing and spout stupid generalities, so sad. Take It Easy....
