Did they change the format this year? I think in years past the 1st night was ONLY qualifying.

This year Wednesday was qualifying. Thursday and Friday were heats dash and mains. Then Saturday heats were lined up from points to on Thursday and Friday. All cars competed each night.

I was responding to a post. The reason why more HL teams didn't show? Well they have the freedom to compete or not compete, does it really matter? They got a quality field that's all you can ask for.

For me the excitement, drama, sliders, double the adrenilim, I will take a high payout (Eldora for example that paid 175k to Gravel) show over a show that pays 10k. anyday
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..

They have good car counts and good talent in the three divisions. Unless your competing why would the purse matter?

From what I understand they had great attendance this year. I get it big purses draw the big teams but are you saying the field this year wasn't quality? Nobody ever said this show is a crown jewel event. It's a three division show something for everyone. Sure 100k to win is great but that's a stand alone 410 show this isn't that.
