How come the High Limit teams are staying away from WOO World Finals.  Seems like some teams would be interested in these races.

Some are here.  Great event with the premiere winged 410 and late models and big blocks in a one and only event each year.  Been here many times counts are similar for the 410s between 40 and 52 cars just like every year.  Some guys have shut it down as they prep for next year and/or Australia. Some ran out of money and barely made it through October (like ppm)  Some have decided not to attend for their business interests sometimes those interests dont line up with the fans interests its their choice to make, they have the funding and have ran many events for less start money and less top purse money throughout the year.

I'm glad the racers that could showed up and have been putting on a great show.  This track has always been best suited for late models and they are having the best racing of the 3 series so far.  All been great though. Looking forward to tonight!!!

They have good car counts and good talent in the three divisions. Unless your competing why would the purse matter?

The original question was why HL teams weren't competing.

I was responding to a post. The reason why more HL teams didn't show? Well they have the freedom to compete or not compete, does it really matter? They got a quality field that's all you can ask for.

I'm surprised the event sold out tonight, did the crowd not know the High Rollers wouldn't be there? Those high rolling superstars are known for packing them in from coast to coast.

I was shocked that HL didn't pack them in this year. One would have expected that a series in their first year would have had the same name recognition as a 40 year old series long considered the gold standard. Much to my surprise, it didnt work out that way. I just cant figure it out?

When Courtney got out of the car in victory lane he looked up at the crowd and was heard to say "what are all these people doing here?"

Maybe they didn't want to sit and watch the modifieds crash for an hour and a half until they got to race.

Not true, David Gravel received $200,000 for the season championship and took the big money.

Tyler Courtney received $25,000 for winning the race which was not the big money.

When have recently been through all this before, Tyler Courtney is a member of the World of Outlaws, as are all drivers that compete in a World of Outlaws race.

Gravel won $350k for winning the championship as he got $150k for the exclusivout bonus. In all, Gravel won over $1m this year.

What did Quiring spend? 2M? More? 7 full time team members, sheesh. Who else has that or can afford that? This is the direction WOO has taken sprint car racing. Spend a large fortune to make a small fortune... if you're successful. We wonder why local racing is on life support.

I thought they did the best they could as far a track prep. But with the number of woo late models and modified almost impossible to have the type of surface the sprint car need to allow passing. The late models like a different type of surface. Winning the dash is a big advantage of starting up front as there are 10 cars that could win. WOO name is still a big deal to many fans but HL is their equal for talent. Even over a million in purse money doesnt leave much left. Sponsers and merchandise  are key . Being a regular member obligated to be there is a big deal to those that finish 10th on back is only reason they can stay on tour. Im a sprint car fan but the millions available to charter NASCAR teams is another world.

Great event once again! what does it matter that some of the Limited guys didn't show?? Congrats to David Gravel and especially Tod Quiring on their WoO championship! Screw the "charters" sign with the WoO next year and you'll make more $$$$$$!

I laughed wayyyy to hard at this.

Did they change the format this year? I think in years past the 1st night was ONLY qualifying.
