Thats your loss. Because when the ownership decides they are done it will most likely be sold to developers. A Tony Stewart or Kasey Kahne probably won't get it.

Would the person from Port Royal that has upset Mr. Strawser please apologize.
Your adherence to my request would reduce the required reading time on hosehead by 30%.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I doubt if an apology would do
BStrawster probably wants to be in charge of track prep. Then he'd quit after a few weeks cause people complained too much about his fast, no passing track.... ;)

This is about the 20,000th time you said that. We know and still, no one cares. Shut up.

i'm learning as i get older it's better to compliment something without criticizing something else to make the point.
i live even closer to the grove than stawser/wingedspeed (or whatever it is) do to port. we drove 7.5 hours to eldora last week and went to the pa grand canyon this weekend. i don't feel like i missed anything. hope they were great races and everyone had a good time. we'll be at the nationals most likely.
i feel like the grove is still hanging onto its history and has a "take us or leave us" mentality. port is actively trying to get better year by year. there's a reason pretty much everyone driver talks about port being one of the best tracks in the country. ultimately i'd like all the tracks to do well.

Someone asked me about Williams Grove the other day, I told them it was hallowed ground from long long ago. They said, why? Well, I've never been there, but the legand is BIG.... I remember reading about WG back in the 80s...what should I tell them?

Are there mods on this site? If there are a ignore button would be great. I could ignore 2 people(or 1 person) and enjoy this board alot more.

First night. If that race goes another 5 laps you would have had another winner. Night 2. The track needed to widen out earlier and I think the 69k is up frint. All in all, 2 nights of good racing.
|
Yeah 2nd night looked like a heavy rough cushion that was only 2/3 the way up and never widened out. It was exciting because there was some action up front and some lead changes with those guys getting out of shape and bounced around on the cushion, but other than that it looked like slot cars with no one really being able to advance through the field. I'll take the night 1 track any day. Glad to see Marks take the big check though. Brent's a good dude and a heckuva driver(even if he is an outlaw wannabe).

You pretty much said it all. Hallowed ground. There's 3 tracks that every driver wants to win the most: Knoxville, Eldora and Williams Grove. Williams Grove was and is Central PA's most important track. Aaron Reutzel said it best in victory lane when he won his first race at The Grove: "You can't really feel like you've beat the Posse until you've beat them at Williams Grove."

Those drivers say that when they have a mic in their face, but a lot of them sing a different tune when not in public.

Don't the car counts tell anybody that it is getting less important to drivers to win there? (No matter what they say when they have mic in their hand) You can't rely on history to survive forever.
