Agree, had a very enjoyable time at the Grove last night. Thought the pre-race round table discussions with Mr. as Center of attention was a nice start to the evening. Mother Nature co-operated, a Hugh crowd that bordered on WoO size and a good carcount (38) with a nice mix of invaders (Rico, Buddy Kofoid, Sam Hafertepe); all-stars (McMahan, Peck, Gee, Rinehart); and Posse “non-Grove regulars” ( Mike & Logan Wagner).
Early drama in hot laps when the 69k pulled off after some engine smoke. Blown engine? Fortunately, for Dewease fans, easily fixed oil line issue.
One of the highlights of the evening was a phone interview with Doug Wolfgang. He shared humorous stories about his time driving the 29 and working with Davey Jr and Sr.
25 green flag laps and lapped traffic contributed to what I thought was an entertaining feature. Rico jumped to a nice size lead from the pole. Cisney and Dewease caught him in lapped traffic with Lance getting by both around lap 10. Lance checked out after the pass. An advantage to watching a race in person vs. on a computer is the ability to see battles throughout the field. Great race for2nd through the middle stages between Rico, Cisney, and Macri. DD and Freddie were fun to watch as they moved toward the front. Dietrich finished 3rd and Rahmer 4th and hard charger.
Victory lane was wild and capped off by Davey taking a swig of champagne on ‘his night’ All and all a very nice evening at the Grove.
I’ll leave track prep discussion to other posters on this board.

Did I see somewhere about guys best laps in the feature being 19 - 20 seconds? You mean there was really good racing with those lap times? I thought that was boring.

So if it changed a lot during the feature and 20 seconds was guys best time, what was it at the end 24? Keep trying talk your way out it. Can't you handle the truth? You can't have it both ways.

But if they have 50 cars show for the Tuscarora 50 you'll find something wrong with that to.

It your opinion, not necessarily "the truth"

Do you go on a rant about PR when your wife asks what you want for dinner?
You have an obsession, might want to try some kind of medication...

The Grove is as ass backward of any tracks. They prep it or lack of & time trial in the 17's & 18's. Somehow they build a cushion in 4 & just a flat to fluff 1st & 2nd turn. The track did widen out & a few cars did some passing. Congrats to Sheldon who was very erratic at the end.

The one thing I do every time I visit this forum which is about once per week, is look for any thread topic about something related to Central PA. The. I always go to the last post and scroll back. Why do I do that? I can guarantee that a$$clown A and B turn EVERY thread into a Port Royal thread. Give it up and go away, like I said before you are a complete embarrassment to racing. I see WILLIAMS GROVE as a topic and gave it a read. I go to the end and guess what...
I am begging EVERY race fan on here, including myself, to never EVER reference these two idiots again. Once they post on a thread, do your absolute very best to not make any further comments. Simply start a new thread. If we can eliminate them 100% from this forum, it will be a much better world and a much better racing season. I all but guaranteed he will post after this one, but don't anyone reply. To continue talking about WG, start anew. Thank you everyone.

If you wanna see a frieght train, have a wet hammer down track. ps. Larson . alot of the all star guys all brag up the port every time. Guess non racers know more than the drivers. HAHA

Lance was the show last night. I hope he finishes 1 position better tonight! I'll be at Selinsgrove though. WOO vs. Posse at the Grove just doesn't thrill me anymore. The overall field is nothing like it used to be when WOO and some top locals were on the trailer after the B because it was that tough to make the A. Now it's 1 local car that has a good chance of winning and about 2-3 others that are a long shot. It's just not the same to me. In fact I'm turning down a free ticket and ride to the Grove. I'll catch the highlights on youtube.

He's 55, and last night he passed literally the top teams in sprint car racing on a track that no one else can pass on. Lance is the man.

If I were a new fan planning on making a first time trip to the Central PA tracks, and all I had to go on was this message board complete with your incessant butt-hurt berating of Port Royal.....want to know which track I'd go to first? Port Royal. You are not having the effect you think you are. Anybody with any sense of reasoning can see right through your babble.

Message boards are completely irrelevant these days. I doubt they ever were relevant. If they were, Usac would be the most popular sprint car series, no one would go to the Grove or Port Royal and the Outlaws would be out of business.

Great race until the caution, wish the 51 would've gotten off the track and let the leaders battle it out in traffic. Once they got put back in clean air, it would've taken a dirty slider for Marks not to win that. Happy for the True Outlaw driver to find his way back to another Win after last weekend's wreck.

First night. If that race goes another 5 laps you would have had another winner. Night 2. The track needed to widen out earlier and I think the 69k is up frint. All in all, 2 nights of good racing.
