Yeah to be honest DakotaDude it was a general statement to about 3 different people but I just happened to reply to your post. Point I'm trying to make is that the driver's hometown has nothing to do with being off the beaten path for the world of outlaws tour. Most drivers fly to and from home.  It's where the shop is based at that matters. Don't let a message board piss ya off dude. Watch some football, enjoy your Sunday.

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.  My fault kinda in the fact that stayed in a hotel for a family deal last night and a bunch of guys decided the hall outside our room was the party place way late, slept like poo, and got up crabby and that was first thing I saw. Just a timing thing so I apologize for going off the deep end. That being said, in of all places in Mitchell, SD I was outside having a smoke and just happened to be wearing a Gravel shirt and a total stranger also out having a smoke walked up and noted my shirt and we had a great conversation about sprint cars! We are sort of a family, though sometimes seriously dysfunctional.  Peace turn4guy.

There's a very long list of drivers that should have the opportunity. Guess all it takes is money though

I hope they make sure the check clears from Lorenc before moving forward. He has a history of bouncing checks to people. Just ask to Rudzik #49 team Shaffer drives for. Sold them a 360 motor a couple years ago, check bounced and a month later at the Eldora Sprintacular told them to have the money the next day and went to trailer and they didn't have it so the #49 guys went into Lorenc trailer and took a 410 motor and said situation settled.  Guess time will tell if this ride truely happens.

Wondered the same thing myself. brian Lorenc has a very long history of ripping people off In his business in western ny. I heard talk the car they raced at world finals was paid for with a bad check and guy that previously owned car has been waiting 6 months for his money.

Saw a FB post from Hans Lein today, which reminded me of this thread. Im guessing the car he ran at world finals was the car they bough from Hans. Anyway, another bad check was given to Hans, in response he called the bank and the bank said that the account was shut down over a year ago. In his words, this brings his bad check total up to $34,500 I believe it was, and there were comments on the post with pictures of other bad checks written to people from the same account. Quite the deal!

Ummm...ya apparently are trying to start something.  If ya can read my post I plainly say Gravel is from Connecticut, not NY.  Heck, I even say the town. And do ya think I don’t realize that they don’t go to his house? Surely you must jest. I was simply trying to make a point and everyone here but you figured that out. Everyone on this thread also has been respectful etc...someone even said above how rational. i used to be on here all the time with the inception of this board, then turned into a mere lurker because of all the criticism if ya misspelled a word, liked a Ford, liked Schatz, asked a ? someone thought was dumb and you were made to feel like a 5 year old red headed stepchild. Heck you could have a little fun even now and then. Decided to come back recently and give it a you I might just be gone again.  Hope it feels good knowing ya started someone’s day off like shit.

Yes DakotaDude. Sucks that some are ill willed when posts, replys or honest questions are typed here. I've been blasted and belittled here. Joke'em. Anyway been a good read so far.

  From central coast of Cali.
   Peace, Out.

I laugh when I see stories of bad check writers. If you know the guy is going to show up go get a court order to have him served at the track. If he doesn't have it, you leave with his hauler. If your stupid enough not to do something then it' your own fault.

Knowingly writing a check on a closed account is a crime. Check Fraud is the legal term for it. If this is the case, why has there been no prosecution? Check Fraud can be prosecuted as a misdemeanor or as a felony. Fines and jail time can be the penalty for either degree of crime upon conviction. Appears to me that the amounts would result in felony prosecution.
