...Dane Lorenc will be running as a teammate to Parker Price Miller with Destiny Motorsports backing.

Yep, contain your excitement!

So now they can have 2 cars that run 14th or worse each night.    A better "Destiny" may be to tackle the All-Star series instead of with WoO.   Build the team up, and then tackle the Outlaws.  JMO.

I'll always advocate for drivers racing where they watn because it's their money. But I guess I just don't understand this move on eithers part. Lorenc signed up to race full time all stars and ran a grand total of SEVEN all star races. He's got a bit of talent I'll give him that. Just don't understand how they'll be able to run the whole Outlaw schedule being based out of New York. Best of luck to him anyways, at least there is a guaranteed competition for rookie of the year.

You both may be right, I'm happy to see another car on tour. No matter where he finishes he will gain a lifetime of experience and join a very short list of folks who have run the outlaw tour.  I hope he and PPM can get rolling and have a decent season.

If he's teamed up and traveling with Destiny, why does it matter where he's based out of?  Serious question, not trying to be smart.

I took it to mean that he'll be further from home nearly all season than all of the other drivers and that's tough enough even for the centrally located drivers. New York is really off the beaten path for the WoO.

I’m not trying to be snarky at all here, please don’t take it that way As I do understand where you are coming from. But Watertown, Connecticut is also off the beaten path for the WoO and it appears as if David Gravel has turned out just fine...  On a different note, maybe the move by Destiny for the two car team is to follow the path of Bobby Allen’s 2 car team as far as purse/platinum member status and benefits?  Just thinking that out loud. But I do scratch my head a bit like others on the move....

You're right about Gravel, but by my way of thinking, it's easier to be away from home in a wining car than it is in a struggling car......   :)    And in an interview, Bobby Allen admitted that the boys aren't paid near what the other drivers on tour are paid.

Very true about the struggling car vs one that’s up to speed. What I find even more so difficult is someone who I’ve never even heard of (I mean no disrespect) jumps into any ride, let alone a second car to a struggling team, is gonna jump on tour and try and maintain his confidence. More power to him if successful.  I don’t know how Clyde Knipp does it. Again more power to him.

As far as Bobby Allen....what they have done with a fraction of the dinero of others is nothing short of amazing.

As far as Bobby Allen.... that may be a case of having enough talent to overcome the financial burden of racing. Once a national company figures out that they could get a lot of mileage out of sponsoring the Shark team I think you'd see a break-out year.

Lorenc is a good young driver that ran well in 360's but with just 1 year or so of 410 experience, it's gonna be a struggle on the WOO tour. It's a struggle for any rookie but no better place to learn I guess. Best of luck to them.

This may be the most rational discussion I've ever seen on here. Surprised someone hasn't come on here to rip this apart yet. Anyways, I think that's probably why the Destiny backing is there. In the press release I saw about this it said they had considered running as a family team only but when the affiliate team deal came to fruition they decided to do that with Destiny. I see what you're getting at with the whole being based out of NY doesn't matter thing. But it will be a long way from home as blazer said. I don't see why if they can fund running the full tour that Lorenc won't do well. The couple times I've seen him he's been very solid for the amount of experience he has. He's also ran about 5 of the sprint races at Eldora over the past two years to and one at Mansfield and one at Wayne County as well as some forays into PA. And Oshweken with WoO. So does have some limited travel experience.

You couldn’t be more correct on Bobby Allen. Not only does he have the talent, knowledge and experience, but I’m pretty sure he can squeeze a quar outta a dime!  I’d actually consider this year a breakout season for them with the wins Logan recorded. I’d sure like to see Jacob get one!

CJB is not in New York. Gravel is from Connecticut. CJB doesn't go back to Gravel's house on a break. Cmon man.

Ummm...ya apparently are trying to start something.  If ya can read my post I plainly say Gravel is from Connecticut, not NY.  Heck, I even say the town. And do ya think I don’t realize that they don’t go to his house? Surely you must jest. I was simply trying to make a point and everyone here but you figured that out. Everyone on this thread also has been respectful etc...someone even said above how rational. i used to be on here all the time with the inception of this board, then turned into a mere lurker because of all the criticism if ya misspelled a word, liked a Ford, liked Schatz, asked a ? someone thought was dumb and you were made to feel like a 5 year old red headed stepchild. Heck you could have a little fun even now and then. Decided to come back recently and give it a you I might just be gone again.  Hope it feels good knowing ya started someone’s day off like shit.

They are making the salient point that a driver's home town does not matter as compared to the team's shop location. Carlisle PA is 100s of miles and at least 5 hours better for the vast majority of tracks on the WoO circuit than anywhere in NY.

There's a very long list of drivers that should have the opportunity. Guess all it takes is money though

Yeah to be honest DakotaDude it was a general statement to about 3 different people but I just happened to reply to your post. Point I'm trying to make is that the driver's hometown has nothing to do with being off the beaten path for the world of outlaws tour. Most drivers fly to and from home.  It's where the shop is based at that matters. Don't let a message board piss ya off dude. Watch some football, enjoy your Sunday.

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.  My fault kinda in the fact that stayed in a hotel for a family deal last night and a bunch of guys decided the hall outside our room was the party place way late, slept like poo, and got up crabby and that was first thing I saw. Just a timing thing so I apologize for going off the deep end. That being said, in of all places in Mitchell, SD I was outside having a smoke and just happened to be wearing a Gravel shirt and a total stranger also out having a smoke walked up and noted my shirt and we had a great conversation about sprint cars! We are sort of a family, though sometimes seriously dysfunctional.  Peace turn4guy.
