Car hasn't been competitive..he hasn't traveled this year...missed Knoxville for the first time in many years. People outside central Pa just don't realize how bad the economic situation is here...quality car owners have disappeared at an alarming rate over the past couple of years.

I think it has alot to do with the weekly tracks in PA.  They are big motor tracks and that takes money.  It seems like Posseland is the only place in the country that runs half miles weekly, outside of Knoxville.

Keep voting for the Democrats, who would like nothing more than to take what's left of our disposable income (the money used for racing) and share it with an illegal immigrant. Stupid-uninformed electorate!

I have the "Thunder in the PA Mountains" VCR tapes/DVDs going back to the nineties. It's sad to think of the great car owners gone from the PA scene: Hamilton, Weikert, Wintermeyer, Dyer, Morral, and many others than I can't think of off the top of my head (sorry if I have spelled some of these name incorrectly). Now another team gone at the end of this season. Sad - I hope Lance can find another ride. Our sport needs change!!

You're exactly like that annoying guy everyone has in their life who nobody wants around because they ALWAYS make things into a political rant. Just stop man, nobody wants your hot air blown in their face.

Cheers!

Ok so what changes are needed?  Almost daily everybody has the problems identified, but nobody has any actual solutions. IMO there is not one fix-all solution that can cure all problems, its a top down problem, and everyone invested is part of the problem, and without everybody working together, there will not be any true solutions.

I am surpised that nobody noted what Sprints on Dirt are planning for next year.

15 inch RR that measures about 100 inches around , 12 inch LR.  No weight rule and no engine size rule.

One thing Lance pointed out was the purse structure.  This is one thing that I love about the RaceSaver 305's in alot of locations.  Yes we only race for $300 to win, but we get $130 to take the green.  The 358's in Central PA are $1,200 to win and $125 to take the green.  410's are around $3,500 to win but only $300 to take the green.

Cant help but think that he would have a better chance of picking up a ride if he raced a circuit that didnt just hit PA tracks ...IMO

Mexicans work their asses off. They're not sharing your money, they're earning their own

There are alot of things at play here. Tires, motors, and transportation costs are the big three. Cant do much about transportation costs. The motor situation is a really tough deal to regulate too.  Any change could effectively junk hundreds of motors across the country and then we still lose as fans.

I personally feel sprint car racing missed a golden opportunity with the A4MP to bring engine costs down.
